Great place

Stayed here for a festival and it was perfect! It was the perfect launch pad for our vacation and home base when we were exhausted.

Great Location...

The apartment building is located blocks from Wrigley Field, and makes a terrific launching pad for visiting Wrigleyville and the North Halsted neighborhood. Everything is very walkable, and it is important that you can walk - our unit was on the third floor, and like many Chicago apartment buildings - you use the stairs. The unit we were in was clean and appointed appropriately.

Good location, but terrible property management system

Booked two months prior to visit. Host sent numerous surveys regarding who was staying, if bringing a dog, purpose of visit, and origin of guests. No response from them until cancelation date when it was stated that a dog fee would be collected prior to arrival. Fee was not in original booking and was added after to the section of listing with the driving directions. It was not added to polices or any other area that mentioned dog. Two days prior to visit received communications of additional charges that would be added such as $150 if a noise complaint, etc. Received email notification regarding noise complaint reminder during a period of time I wasn't in the unit. When the management was contacted, they stated it was auto-generated. Host management requested to be notified when I checked-out, notified them and still received texts afterwards asking if we had checked-out. They use a HORRIBLE system with non-stop auto-generated messages. They advertise a washer and dryer but don't provide a single supply to actually do a load of laundry. The bed was comfortable but didn't have a top sheet provided on the bed. There we only two plates, two forks, two towels, etc. for the stay for two people. A/C worked great. Sofa was terribly uncomfortable. The place was clean and felt safe. Overall review, the place was fine and in a good location with a grocery store on the corner, but the non-stop harassment by the management and the fees that were added make this a negative review.

Great apartment! But…

Great apartment. Clean, great amenities, very cute set up. Bed was huge and comfortable. Washer was a nice plus. Bathroom was large and an abundance of windows to add some natural lighting. Location couldn’t be better: just off the main strip but down a side street adding to the overall quiet. Area is top notch and having 2 supermarkets just minutes away by foot was a real plus. My only cons were the host: after booking, communication was non existent. I was asked to text a photo of my ID which I did with hesitance - this is very easily a way to steal someone’s identity. The host should find a better way to verify than personal texts. From then on - not a word. No checking in with me to see if I entered the premises. No response to a text of app message about the Wi-Fi - which I never received the password to. I was unable to work from the unit which forced me to Starbucks which was exactly the opposite of why I rented the unit. This is a great unit. I would stay here again in a moment - but the host made me feel on my own. If there were any security or lock out issues I would have been screwed. No Wi-Fi means I spent money on something I didn’t receive. This would be a great rental if the hosts upped their game. Until then - fingers crossed to those who book.

Just felt it was Bare Minimum

Unit stayed in is not unit pictured. Unit pictured is on a lower floor (you can tell from the view) and is decorated nicer. Our unit had minimum decor, was on top floor (no elevator). We got there Monday and thermostat read 78 degrees (heat was set on 72, was not on). Tried to turn on the AC. Two window AC units were plugged in, but no power was getting to either. We tried everything from resetting them to flipping breaker, but nothing worked. We contacted numbers given and they replied fairly quickly. Nothing they suggested worked either so stated they would send maintenance the next day. We opened windows to try to cool things off. We were watching tv with windows open (tv right by window) due to heat. Got message next day stating they would cancel stay if we continued to be loud. TV was on low/normal volume. Had to not watch TV so could keep windows open. Maintenance never came. We were finally sent a fan late the following evening. By Wednesday evening the temperature in the apartment got down to 72 degrees and felt a bit more comfortable. We were given two towels (and wash rags hand towels) for the week - one for each of us. One of towels was still damp from being hung dry. In unit laundry is a small combo washer/dryer, with no instructions on how to operate, no laundry detergent. An iron/ironing board were listed as included, did not have these items in the unit. Location is good - .5 mile from Red Line & Wrigley Stadium, Jewel Osco at end of block Overall disappointed
