Your host

We (Frankie + Dan) live in Madison, WI with our two crazy kiddos (5 & 1.5 yo). We love to travel, experience new foods and environments, and are avid VRBO/Airbnb users ourselves.

With the Hideaway, we wanted to provide a special retreat to others to slow down, enjoy Wisconsin nature and scenery of Marquette County, and step out of the normal pace of life. We get busy - but it's not all we're meant to be or do!

We hope that this cozy cabin provides you the time and space to do just that - slow down, enjoy, and rest.

Why they chose this property

Montello, WI is a hidden gem of central/north Wisconsin - it's got this adorable downtown, camp grounds/cabin resorts along the many lakes nearby, and nearby to many other attractions - Wisconsin Dells, Cascade Mountain, Christmas Mountain, etc. It's a true "small town Wisconsin" vibe - I (Frankie) grew up camping here and am so excited to share this with others.

What makes this property unique

We took what was a drab, outdated second home that hadn't been used in years and updated it with a refreshed, MCM-inspired nod to the late 60s/early 70s + all the modern day amenities you would like. Minus a dishwasher - that one is in progress. But hey! Doesn't it make it a BIT more cabin like to have that handwashing experience? We hope you enjoy it!
