The soulful surf town house next to the beach. Family & pet-friendly of course!
House of Astrid is a soulful surf town house located less than 100 m from the roaring and mesmerising ocean - but still in the middle of the town, close to everything! The house is loved by guests from all over the world with 5 star reviews from all guests. I believe their words says it all:) "An infinity of gratitude" | "The house is gorgeous" | "To sleep and stay nearby the stars on this beautiful house was like dreams come true". I love the vibe and good spirits in Klitmöller and the town certainly gives the house the best surroundings and scenery - but I dare say Astrid is special all on her own. It´s something magical about her - you feel an instant feeling of relaxation and mindfulness the moment you walk in through the door. And of course the stars are amazing here! There is a house rule: if stars are out you have to watch them before you go to bed. Talking of beds - all bedrooms are nice to stay in; each window offering you a post card view.

We loved this house and the way it is decorated! Bedrooms are comfortable and we enjoyed the outdoor bath and the garden as well as the very nice kitchen.
It is perfect for 2 families with children or 4 couples.
We had a great time here. The house is equipped with everything you could wish for. It comfortably fits at least eight people. We also loved hanging out in the garden. And all necessities as well as the beach can be reached on foot.

About the host
Hosted by Gabrielle Bräuner
I grew up on the west coast of Sweden in a coastal town called Varberg - also a surf town. My former house in Varberg was located on a peninsula called Getterön. Now, the tales of Getterön cannot be told without mentioning Astrid. "Astrid på skäret" (Astrid on the islet) - she was a fantastic woman! Lived in a red house, almost out in the ocean - all by herself and her 2 adopted daughters. In the 1940's Getterön got its own airfield and Astrid became an airport guard - the only female in the country! Astrid was a nature lover and looked after her pets and made sure that swans, ducks and small birds got their food even in winter. She was truly remarkable! When I moved from Getterön to Klitmöller - I needed to "bring" Astrid somehow. I think she would love it here! But the house could also be called House Of Ingeborg - my grandmother - or House of Clara who was the first lady in the house. All three women were strong and most uncommon in their time of lives. And now I live here. On my own:) Maybe not as wise and strong as my house women - but for sure independent - living the life I love; in or on or by the ocean! I still have a little place in Varberg, where most of my family live - my 3 adult kids not the least! And oh - Im not completely on my own - I have Bill! He is a rescue dog from Romania:) I love sharing my house with people from all over the world! It gives Astrid some extra character! And Astrid (from the islet) always had guests in her house - so I'm sort of keeping the tradition alive. It makes me thrilled to know I have been a small part in making someones vacation magical! My friends and family also loves visiting - so to be honest...it is very rare that i am here on my own:D I always do my very best to make sure that my guests gets the best! I hope you will get to visit Astrid at some point! Peace out:)
