A Mixed Experience at White Sands Village

Upon arrival at White Sands Village, we encountered issues with cleanliness, including stained bedding in the master bedroom, unclean towels in the second bathroom, and food residues on kitchen appliances. Dust was also prevalent on various surfaces. The property owner was responsive, quickly addressing these concerns by dispatching a cleaning crew and even stopped by to personally apologize for these issues. The pool area's rules do not match the description and seemed more suited to a quiet, senior adult-oriented atmosphere, contrary to the family-friendly impression given. "No jumping, no loud noises, etc" Furthermore, the advertised "pristine Magic Sands Beach" was rocky and not fully suitable for children, misaligning with expectations set by promotional materials. I understand that nature cannot be controlled, but this is more of a surfing/bodyboarbing beach. Not a swimming one. Located in a tranquil setting, White Sands Village is 4-5 miles from local attractions, requiring a drive for activities and dining, with $13-17 parking fees per hour in more bustling areas. A nearby restaurant's limited operating hours also posed convenience issues with limited hours. In summary, while the property offers scenic ocean views and moments of relaxation, initial cleanliness challenges and discrepancies in amenity descriptions affected our overall experience. This review aims to provide constructive feedback for future guests and suggests areas for improvement.

Great location right by Magic Sands Beach

Great property right across from Magic Sands Beach. Great pool area and lanai also to hang out on. The only suggestion to host would be to get new bed pillows and needs a pizza cutter and cutting board and some new knives. Other than that the beach chairs for use was a nice touch and I’d certainly stay here again

Convenient Location

This condo was a great home base for us while we explored the island. The host was very responsive. Sadly the beach wasn’t usable while we were there (just rocks and rough waves), but it was still nice to be able to walk across the street and be at the ocean.

Location, Location, Location!

My family of 5 loved the condo! It was so nice being able to wake up and see and hear the ocean. We all slept comfortably and appreciated the two twin beds and pull out sofa for the kids. It was also convenient to have the washer and dryer in the master bathroom. Magic Sand Beach is just across the street. Gorgeous and strong waves. We boogie boarded and soaked in the sun at the beach. We used the pool and hot tub daily - it was not crowded. We also walked several times to Magics Grille. Would love to stay there again.

Dream vacation

We had a wonderful experience at this great condo. It's location is amazing. It's directly across from the beach. It was amazing to just walk out of the condo, cross the street and be at the beach. The condo's layout was great and fit out family of 6 well. We loved the porch and spent a lot of time out there. It's close to Kona for shopping etc but we spent a lot of time at or near the condo because everything was right there for us. The owners were quick to respond when needed and to accommodate our needs. We loved this place and would definitely choose to stay there again!
