Our magical Stinson Beach house is a peaceful retreat from work and the city, but in perfect reach of San Francisco. Four bedrooms and three baths including one kids room is the perfect place to relax, recharge by yourself or with the family.

Our house is completely renovated on a quiet beach side patio. We are one row of houses back from the beach, so you can hear the waves crash on the beach and it will take you just 1 minute to walk onto the beach from the house.

Inside, you'll find all the comforts of home, including the fastest internet access we could get in Stinson Beach (sorry, it's not that fast, about 6mb, but just enough for streaming HD). The kitchen was equipped by a Cordon-Bleu trained chef and all the furnishing are up to date.

We're committed to keeping our carbon footprint small. Every bulb in the house is either CFL or LED. Power is primarily provided by solar panels on the roof.

Most rules are common sense but we provide a good documentation on all the rules in the information package we provide upon confirmation. We do consider pets but generally only small ones that don't shed.

Family weekend

We had a great stay at this property! 4 adults and 4 kids. We enjoyed the beach and visited Muir Woods. (FYI, you need a parking reservation for Muir Woods so plan in advance.) The only thing to be aware of is that the master bedroom is on the far side of the bathroom—if someone is using it and you need access to that bedroom you will need to go outside. And there is another bedroom you have to go through to get to the bathroom and master. This was not a problem for our family group but I could imagine it being awkward for some groups.

Anniversary/Birthday Beach Trip

OMG! This is the most amazing beach house ever! I almost don’t want to leave a review because I want to keep this place all to myself. The house is big & comfy with plenty of room for everyone. Nice big kitchen & living room. And the yard is absolutely beautiful. We had coffee each morning outside in our garden oasis. Each evening in the hot tub. So relaxing & serene. And the beach is steps away. Paul is an awesome host. Thank you Paul. We will be back.

Wonderful house

The house is great. The kitchen is well equipped and spacious. The location is quite good, far enough from Hwy 1 but not too far to easily walk to town. The beds and pillows were awesome. The decor is nice without being fussy. I wasn't worried that my 5 year old would break things. One small note, the curtains in most of the bedrooms are light, one bedroom doesn't have curtains on a high window. It gets quite bright in the morning. The owners were responsive and easy to work with. It was a pleasure staying there, next year we will book a longer stay.

Perfect Getaway for Families.

I have the best memories of going to Stinson Beach as a child and wanted to take my own kids. I initially booked this home because we wanted someplace to accommodate a larger group and a lot of the other beach-side rentals had 2 bedrooms or less. This house exceeded all our expectations. Every room is thoughtfully and simply furnished. It is gorgeous, clean and modern without losing it beachy charm. The pictures do not do the courtyard justice. It is so thoughtfully designed with separate areas for the hot tub, BBQ, sandboxes, even a volleyball court. Its hard to keep little kids at the beach all day so we spent many hours outside in the courtyard which is just a short stroll to the beach itself. We are counting down the days to when we can return. With of without kids this is the perfect beach rental.

Very nice home and garden, with a few issues

The home and garden were lovely and clean. Although from the description, I was expecting it to be closer to the beach. This home is actually four houses back from the beach. The garden is beautifully landscaped and maintained and the kids had lots of fun in the hot tub! There were plenty of beach towels for everyone, but sadly there were no beach chairs to use at the beach. This made going to the beach with my elderly parents very difficult! My kids were really excited to make s'mores in the fire pit, but we were all very disappointed to learn that the fire pit was out of gas. This was a major bummer. We contacted the owners about this, but received no reply. The home itself is bright, open, and very comfortable. The couch and chairs in the upstairs living area are awesome! The large screen tv was also loved by everyone. The kitchen is large and inviting! There were plenty of cups, dishes, pots and pans for a large family and everything was very high quality. However, there is no ice-maker and we lacked ample dish cloths and dish towels. Lastly, we had trouble in the evenings because all the lights flickered. It was very difficult to do anything inside after dark because of the annoying flickering lights in almost every room! I'm not sure if there is an electrical issue in the home or if the bulbs they use aren't compatible with their fixtures. But something needs to be fixed.

An Idyllic Vacation!

The house was even more beautiful then I could have wished for - absolutely everything about it was perfection. I rented it to coincide with my 67th birthday, having had a heart attack a month before - so wanted somewhere peaceful and large enough so that visiting family could be close - yet not too crowded! Ages ranged from me - down to one and a half years old. Everything was provided for the little ones - safety gates for the stairs, travel cots and high chairs. The bathrooms were luxurious and wonderful - as were the bedrooms. The living room, airy, bright and spacious - and the kitchen...almost defies description! Suffice to say it is a REAL kitchen designed for those that really cook - every appliance and tool, sets of knives, great utensils, a beautiful fridge - it was heavenly. The garden was just beautiful - with little corners of it tucked away and of different character to other corners - and a great outdoor eating area. My teenage granddaughter enjoyed the hot tub - and everyone loved the outdoor shower. What was especially wonderful too was its location - just set back enough from the beach and the thundering surf that it wasn't a constant roar, which I imagine could be tiring. But just a half minute walk - and there you are - with a bench perfectly placed for watching the sun set...and miles of the softest sand. The decor was also so interesting - in one way, quite minimalistic and practical - and yet at the same time SO comfortable and thoughtful - and cosy! That is a rare gift to combine all that. Can you guess? - I could have happily never moved out. All communications with the owners were so easy and delightful - and I will say that it was the best birthday present I could have given myself EVER!

Amazing Stay

This home was very accommodating. We felt very looked after from the hospitality box, well-stocked kitchen, towels, toiletries, beach toys, high chair and gate for the stairs. Even a baby bath for the tiny one. Each room is thoughtfully and comfortably furnished. For your stay I would recommend bringing your own tissues, environmental laundry soap, dishwashing cloth and scrubber. You need an iPhone (or your own streaming device) to connect with the TV. Otherwise, feel very well looked after.

Pleasant Trip

This is a collective response from members of our stay: Five stars for the incredible landscaping as well as the very well-stocked kitchen! The house and yard were very spacious too. The proximity to the beach was exactly what we were looking for. A convenient outdoor shower was very handy to help keep things clean and sand-free. We enjoyed the hot tub too! The other reviews touch on some similar sentiments - the home could use more hand towels and the firepit was a bit puzzling to work. There is also room for improvement on communication because we were not sure how to leave the home (i.e. strip the beds or leave towels, etc.) and emails came back slow. Overall, the home and location were a great place and this trip was made very enjoyable by our stay in Paul's beautiful home.

Well appointed home in great location

Great house with plenty of room for a family to spread out. All bedrooms on first floor and open kitchen, dining and living room upstairs. Appreciated the baby gate for stairs to keep kids corralled upstairs. Great yard for hanging outside. Short path to beach, able to walk to see other family staying on lagoon and short walk or bike ride to town. Beach was not crowded at all. Thoroughly enjoyed our visit.

Blissfully relaxing and so much fun!

Everything was fantastic. The beach was so close and the house so comfortably laid out! We thoroughly enjoyed evenings in the hot tub and days at the beach. We cooked many meals and the kitchen had everything we could have needed. Will definitely stay again and hopefully soon ❤

Great house, amazing place

We have stayed at this property a couple of times in the last few years. The house is very spacious. The kitchen has what you need and more. The bedrooms and bathrooms are great. The living room is big and simple with a good tv. Perfect for movie nights. The house is literal steps from the beach, but has a cozy neighborhood feel. The hot tub and the firepit, grill and nice outdoor furniture, make the outdoor space a great lounge area we used a lot. Very much recommend this house.

Little Ray of Sunshine!

Since we were cancelled over summer due to Covid the delightful owner offered us an opportunity to come in October. We have been spending a week in Stinson with the same group for 15 years in an older home we loved. When the owners there decided to retire, we set off to find a new place to continue building memories and we are so happy we found this place! We all quarantined for 10 days and got tested prior to our visit and one of our group was evacuated from the fires In Napa and found out the day we arrived their house was one of only a few still standing. With so much going on right now in life, this was the absolute perfect place to let go and re- charge. The home is well cared for and has so much to offer. Space both inside and out. Large rooms, updated baths, and an unbelievably well stocked kitchen (we would recommend more kitchen towels & paper towels) as we are food and wine folks and love to cook running out of dish towels every night. The Nespresso machine was an added bonus and seriously there is every type of cooking appliance you could want! Since we had to walk up and down the hill to the beach in our last house, it took a day or so for it to sink in just how close the beach access is-what a treat especially for the kids. The yard has changed since photos were taken and there is no longer a volleyball court or place to play corn hole as they updated their septic system. We brought ours and were a bit surprised but with the beach so close you don’t need it and the yard is ideal for relaxing in the hot tub (which stayed hot!)and s’mores on the fire pit was great! We had such a lovely time and look forward to visiting again. Would highly recommend this to anyone!

What a great spot!

We absolutely loved our time at this home. It’s perfectly located steps from the beach and with a quick beach walk you are in the cute lil’ town. We were surprised at how well stocked the local grocery store was. Very small but well stocked. The house was fantastic. It’s amazing how quiet it is in the downstairs master. I couldn’t even hear the game-playing teenagers upstairs at all!!! The kitchen is especially well stocked! Even the knives were sharp. The hosts were easy to communicate and extremely kind! We will for sure be returning!

wonderful house with great outdoor space

We had a fabulous long weekend with kids and grandkids and found the house perfect for us. The fenced in yard was ideal for all to play and relax in, with volleyball, sandy and grass areas for kids and only a 1 minute walk to beach. Kitchen was well equipped with everything you'd possibly need for cooking and baking as well. The owners were lovely to deal with, by far the best rental experience I've ever had!

Family Fun at the Beach

The property and the house itself are in a great location just steps from the beach via public walking path. Very private on a cul de sac, in walking distance to downtown. We were two families with 3 teenagers so we got a lot of use out of the property with the hot tub, lounging and S’Mores by the fire pit, volleyball in the sand, and plenty of room for games like corn hole. We got full use of the kitchen and it was well stocked. We watched a couple of movies through the Apple TV which is a nice to have with kids. We had extra room with 7 people, the beds were comfortable with nice linens and we particularly enjoyed the sound machines at night. However, we did find that when we arrived the cleaning crew was still there and needed more time so we had to occupy ourselves for a while. And we did not realize till after they left that we had a shortage of hand towels in the bathroom (only one in each of the full baths, 1/2 bath did not have any). The interior of the home is starting to show its age and could use a little touch up and the exterior landscape could use some maintenance - unbeknownst to one another, both dads at different points during the trip had the urge to bust out the lawnmower : ) Overall we enjoyed our stay and would recommend this beautiful home for a fun beach vacation for families.
