Wonderful Vacation

We had a wonderful time! The location was perfect - close walk to the beach and centrally located to some great restaurants. The house itself is beautiful and we loved the deck!

Lovely home in a great location!

The house is pristinely clean, with everything you could need on a vacation! We loved the location and all of the decks, especially the top deck with both ocean and bay views. Can’t wait to go back!

Terrific home, Perfect location

This rental is on the top of my list! This home provided everything we needed for a perfect week at the shore. Well equipped kitchen. Two nice clean bathrooms. Roomy bedrooms. Comfortable living spaces. Love the decks! Walking to the beach was so easy... I had no concerns about traffic since we were so close and only had to cross the quiet beach road. Great outside spaces too. Nice outdoor showers, clothes line, plenty of parking for two trucks. Foot rinse hose at front walk <<< I loved that! Owners are friendly and attentive! Multiple text messages about travel/traffic plus several contacts about how things were going. They immediately tended to our needs while we were there. Brant Beach is one of our favorites. Very close to stores, bike rentals, restaurants, and activities like mini-golf and Bay Village Pier. Thanks for a great week!

Great place!

We just got back from a most enjoyable week staying at this house. It was clean and well kept and stocked nicely with all you would expect from a rental and then some. We used the multiple decks all the time and especially enjoyed sitting at the table in the covered part. There was always a breeze and you can hear the waves. Having the washer and dryer right in the unit was very convenient. This unit also has its own outdoor shower which my family always prefers while at the beach. The walk to the beach was very short, just a few houses away. The owner Janis was very responsive to any of my questions. We would stay here again and certainly recommend to others.

Nice Family Retreat

We really enjoyed our first family vacation in LBI! The house was clean and comfortable and well stocked with all the things our family needed for a week at the beach. On top of the essentials, there were beach chairs, sand toys, and even games, books, and movies in the living room for a rainy day. The openness of the kitchen and living room provided a nice space to hang out when recovering from the sun. The covered deck area was perfect for eating dinner in the ocean breeze, and we loved having our morning coffee outside in the sea air. We definitely enjoyed our stay and would definitely come back again!

Rick and Janis bought this shore home twenty five years ago, and have lovingly renovated and expanded it. It was spared during Hurricane Sandy because we had raised the house a few years earlier. Our children are in college now, and have grown up swimming, surfing, sailing, and crabbing on the island each summer. Most of our renters come back year after year, and we are happy to share our home as we watch these families grow. Rick is a retired cancer researcher, and Janis retired as an IT consultant. Our permanent home is in central New Jersey, but we spent this winter living here on the first floor and loved it!

Why they chose this property

This house offers a great location, just a one minute walk to the beach. It's on a friendly, quiet street where children often play wiffleball, draw hopscotch boards, and set up cornhole games. The older kids can safely walk or bike to the Custard Hut, and the adults can stroll to Daddy-O's for happy hour. Four blocks away is St. Francis RC Church and Community Center, which offers services, meetings, and many activities. At dusk, a short walk to the bayside offers spectacular sunset views. The beach is groomed daily, with a lifeguard on duty in prime season. Fishermen and surfers have plenty of room apart from swimmers. In ten minutes' drive, you can be over the Causeway and on the mainland, if you need a Target, Kohls, ShopRite, or WalMart. Ten minutes south in Beach Haven you'll find rides and amusements, and many restaurants with live bands and entertainment nightly. Atlantic City is forty miles south.

Beach chairs, cart and umbrella are included, so you don’t have to bring two cars unless you want to.

What makes this property unique

This home has an open living room/kitchen area for family gatherings. The roof deck offers spectacular views in all directions. The front deck faces south and gets full sun, while the covered octagonal side deck is a great spot for lovely outdoor dinners. The house sleeps six in beds and two on the sofa bed (please, no more than that) and has a full bath off the hallway and a half bath off the master. Other amenities include central air conditioning, central heat, washer and dryer, offstreet parking for three cars, a private outside hot and cold shower, two televisions with DVD players, wireless Internet, Weber gas grill, deck furniture, a beach cart with six beach chairs and an umbrella, and six beach badges. The kitchen has a gas range, dishwasher, large French door refrigerator, microwave, blender, Keurig and drip coffee maker, spices and staples, and all dishes/utensils/pans. You will bring sheets and towels, or if you are flying in, we can provide them by prior arrangement for a fee.
