Living Spaces

It doesn’t get much better than lakefront living! The Eagle has an open layout perfect for gathering with a full wall of windows overlooking the large private outdoor area and the shimmering lake beyond. In the inviting seating area, cozy up around the Malm fireplace and watch a movie on the flatscreen TV or play games after busy days outdoors. You’ll love the views of the lake as you gather with your favorite family and furry friends.

Kitchen & Dining

Open to the living area and the lake views beyond, the fully equipped kitchen has a dishwasher, many kitchen appliances, a large fridge, an air fryer, and even an electric ice cream maker – so much fun after days on the lake. It’s stocked with plenty of pots and pans, cutting boards, spices – everything you need to make meals and snacks for your crew. Enjoy meals (and even game nights) at the table for eight, or head outside to the lakefront picnic table for casual al fresco meals. After successful fishing outings, use our fish cleaning hut and prepare your fresh catch lakeside.

Bedrooms & Baths

There’s nothing more relaxing than retreating to your own private bedroom after fun-filled days at the lake. Each of the four bedrooms has a King bed, which can also be converted to two XL twin beds to accommodate any combination of couples or kids. Three bedrooms have a private verandah overlooking the lake, and one of the bedrooms is accessible with a large doorway opposite an accessible bathroom. There’s even a hidden loft with a double mattress – sure to be the kids’ favorite secret hangout. You will have your own full washer and dryer.

Bedroom 1: King (or two XL twins), private deck with lake views
Bedroom 2: King (or two XL twins), private deck with lake views
Bedroom 3: King (or two XL twins), private deck with lake views, accessible doorway

Outdoor Amenities

The Eagle makes the most of its lakefront location. Three of the four bedrooms have their own private verandahs with beautiful lake views, and the main deck hosts an irresistible bubbling private hot tub just steps from the water. The large outdoor space has plenty of seating, including a picnic table for casual al fresco dining – and you’re just next to our fish cleaning hut, making it easier than ever to cook your catch. Just stroll down your private steps to the dock, spend the morning fishing, and then explore all the shared amenities we provide at Bobs Lake.

Get out on the water on the provided canoes, kayaks, stand-up paddleboards, and paddle boats. Bring your boat and use our boat launch, or rent one from us – we offer fishing, pontoon, and speed boats all on-site.
We also have bikes for your use, a basketball/pickleball court, volleyball/badminton, a playground for the kids, an additional fire pit, outdoor billiards, ping pong, and more. Enjoy Tiki Tuesday with a drink or ice cream at the Tiki bar, or gather with friends and family in multiple outdoor lounge areas.
When you visit in the winter, experience the lake like never before as it freezes and transforms into your own ice skating rink just steps from your cottage. You’re going to love it here!

September Vacation at Bob's Lake in The Eagle
It had been many years since we vacationed at Bob's Lake Cottages. The Eagle had been renovated, and do I mean renovated!!! The cottage was spectacular, clean and so beautiful. It was cold and pouring rain the day we arrived. Greig started the gas-burning free-standing fireplace for us and it felt great, since the next couple of days were quite cool. We all had a wonderful time . . . the fishing was great, and we enjoyed the time spent out on the front deck and in the cottage at night playing cards. Any minor issues we might have had were quickly resolved by Greig, a great host!!! He even allowed us to tour the large 2-story cottage next door for potential future visits. Marla answered all my questions via e-mail before our trip. She also could not have been more accommodating in preparing our trip. If you want a perfect place to go in Canada for your next vacation, contact Marla, Larry and Greig. They are the best!! Thanks again, and we hope to come back in the not-to-distant-future to vacation again at Bob's Lake Cottages.

the perfect cottage
After a long and grueling search for the perfect cottage near Kingston, Ontario (so that we could watch our son compete in the Canadian Guitar Festival) we stumbled upon Bob's Lake Cottages. A confession: we are admittedly a "picky" bunch. There had to be IDEAL fishing, the cottage needed to have every conceivable amenity like a perfect view of the lake, air-conditioning, a fireplace, a well-equipped gourmet kitchen, two full bathrooms, and comfortable lounging and sleeping areas for all eight of us! A bonus was that we had the use of kayaks, a paddle board and a paddle boat! Marla and her husband could not have been more gracious hosts. We felt so comfortable, and had the best family vacation experience to date. We hope to return many times!! All the best~Michael & Michelle and family, from Lancaster, PA (stayed at the Eagle)

Clean, serene, beautiful lake experience!
This was a wonderful lake vacation. The house is very clean,( not damp at all like some lake houses), and had a well equipped kitchen as well as a washer dryer, beds, and two bathrooms! The owner could not have been more accommodating or invested in making sure we had a fabulous time at Bobs lake! The lake itself is picture perfect with very clean, warm water and not at all overcrowded. At times, I felt as though it was my private lake! After spending 5 days at the Eagle, I was completely rejuvenated and sad to leave! I would highly recommend this property!

Pristine home w/modern amenities & great views
This is an incredible property with gorgeous lake views from large floor to ceiling windows in the family room. Great space for friends and family to gather around with modern amenities, immaculate bedrooms, and modern luxuries such as washer/dryer, A/C and wood burning stove. Nice back porch overlooking the water. Sleeps quite a few people comfortably with easy access to lake. 10 out of 10!

About the host

I fell in love with Bobs Lake 40 years ago when I had one child who was then 4 years old. I had never seen such a beautiful place and have not missed a summer since, except for covid. We used to vacation at this property which I bought and renovated in 2010.

Why they chose this property

This property is the most gorgeous that you can imagine. The lake is pristine and the cottages are renovated and beautiful. There are a total of 5 cottages, all private.

Located in South Frontenac, midway between Toronto and Montreal, Bobs Lake is rural Ontario’s largest wilderness lake. The biggest draw of this area, which is approximately 7 hours from NYC, is the incredible access to such pristine wilderness. Surrounded by hundreds of lakes, forests, and hiking and biking trails, it’s dotted with small villages like Westport, just 22 minutes away, where you can eat fish and chips, buy fudge, and get pizza at the winery overlooking a lake. The cities of Perth and Kingston are also just 50 minutes away. Bobs Lake is a great place to escape with the family and get away from it all.

What makes this property unique

Open year round- ice fishing in winter, lake right there, views incredible, private front area, playground, tiki bar, ice fishing hut, private hot tub and the friendliest staff you can imagine.
