About this property

Spend the night in this beautiful historic church, built in 1880 and retaining much of its original charm. Stunning woodwork and stained glass combined with modern amenities like air conditioning and brand new bathrooms will make this location a stay that you will always remember!

We are blocks away from Downtown Savanna restaurants and bars and the Mississippi River. We are also just a couple minutes' drive from Palisades State Park.

The space
This chapel, built in 1880, retains its soaring ceilings, carefully crafted woodwork, and stunning stained glass.

Neat Place

It was so cool to stay in this beautiful old church. The stained-glass windows are simply stunning! We had some issues with the lights and the host was quick to respond. We enjoyed our stay, but there are some things to note. The bathrooms were clean, and the shower was nice, but the bed is small, low to the ground and not very comfortable. There are trains running through town all day and night and their horns are super loud. We appreciated the thought of the complimentary sodas, but all had expired a year ago. There is really no seating area or table, indoors or out, just a lot of chairs in the sanctuary with narrow pews along the walls. It did not have a "homey" feel to us. We love the idea and think with a few tweaks it could be a wonderful destination.
