About this property
Thompson House
Our sweet little cottage has recently been updated with laminate floors, new trim, doors, butcher block counter tops and back splash. Enjoy a fresh cup of coffee from the Keurig in the morning and snuggle up on the large sectional with a movie in the evening. All of our bedding is cotton and the queen bed has a memory foam topper on it. Recently built fence separates the yard for privacy. Lots of love went into creating this cozy, happy place for guests to stay.
The space
Our original home was built in 1889 and has been in the family ever since. As of last spring the house was updated with all new siding, windows, trim and paint. Giving this old house a much needed facelift. My husbands family used to own acres of land right here in town, including a horse and barn that belonged to my mother in-law when she was just a little girl. The cottage was built for his Grandma Ginger Lee Thompson for her beauty salon. The space was only half the size to start, with the other being a small garage. Since, we have added the bedroom and front entry. The bedroom has a cozy queen bed with white organic cotton linens. The bathroom has a large walk in tile shower and water closet for additional privacy. Kitchen comes stocked with basic needs. If you’re looking for a special little place with sentimental history, our place is for you!
Guest access
You will have full access to the cottage. The exterior door is just under the carport. The cottage is attached to a main house that is rented to our close friends that help maintain the Airbnb.
Other things to note
We have friends renting our main house. They are very friendly and respectful of our guests. They have one friendly Aussie-doodle dog named Boone.
