Perfect Location

We absolutely loved our stay at Culloden Shores. It's such a lovely comfortable house, with a great deck (including grill and outdoor shower) with access to the best sunset beach. We would love to stay again. Thanks!

Wonderful family getaway

Our experience and the home were better than we expected. Hosts were friendly, helpful & extremely responsive. Location couldn’t have been better, just a few short steps to a lovely private beach. Neighborhood was family friendly & quiet. Our stay was lovely, the home had everything we needed, and our 3 year old really enjoyed the yard, deck and outdoor shower. It felt like home for the week. Thank you for having us!

Wonderful house, great vacation!!!

This is a quiet and comfortable cottage with a wide L-shaped deck We were a group of four adults -- parents with two grown children -- But we never felt cramped or confined Despite the small house footprint The space is very clean and well-maintained by the owners We were able to entertain our family and guests quite well serving 12 people comfortably The appliances including the washer dryer set are all new models and work well. We only needed to use the central air-conditioning once as the place is shady and breezes flow through nicely. We are also fond of the Culloden Shores area In Montauk. It's very quiet and family oriented; people seem very polite and nice to each other The beach is clean, wide, sandy and a nice alternative to the Ditch Plains-style ocean beaches. A real pleasure at sunset -- all the dog owners descend after 6:00 pm People gather around fires After dark. We really liked the place and would definitely stay there again

Fantastic stay on Gull Road

We could not have asked for a better stay in Montauk! The house was perfect for our group and Hillary was amazing to work with. Whenever there were any problems (which was rare), she responded within minutes and things were resolved immediately. The access to the private beach at Colloden Point was a nice bonus to an already wonderful stay. We would definitely rent here again!

Beautiful House in a Beautiful Neighborhood less than a block to a Perfect Quiet Beach.

The house alone was perfect for our group of couples. While it was on the cozy side as far as size goes, we never once felt cramped or in need of more space. Finding ourselves spending most day time on the beautiful private beach 100 yards from the house's driveway and most meals being eaten on the porch, the inside of the house had more than enough space and entertainment than we ever found ourselves needing. The kitchen was quaint but had everything we needed to prepare many home cooked meals both in the oven, on the stove and using the outdoor grill. Splitting one bathroom was a concern for us upon arrival however having the addition of an outdoor shower relieved a lot of the worries. Getting ready at night before heading to town took no longer than it would have in our tiny NYC Apartments. Walking distance to plenty of restaurants and a grocery store, had we wanted to avoid the main street all together it wouldn't have been a problem. However the convenience of a short 5 minute drive is all it takes to get to the hustle and bustle of town. The neighborhood the house is in, Culloden, is a quiet family orientated part of Montauk that many don't know exists. All of the neighbors are extremely friendly, we even received some Argentinian Empanada's from Florence next door. The beach is private which keeps it from getting overly crowded allowing our group to enjoy some space to play some beach games, lay out in the sun, and because it is on the north shore could hangout leisurely in the water without being crushed by waves. But what would the house be without a magnificent Landlord. Hillary could not have been more welcoming and willing to help if an issue were to ever arise. It's clear her top priority is for her guests to have an excellent experience while staying at her home and for our group she definitely helped us accomplish that, we cannot thank her enough! I highly recommend this house to anyone who is looking to escape reality for a bit!

I know most of what is needed to know about Montauk and can help plan the best vacation for you and your guests so that you can enjoy more of what Montauk has to offer.

Why they chose this property

25 Gull Road is a great location in Montauk. To enjoy the beach, you have a 3 minute walk and do not have to deal with a lack of parking nor any of the crowds found at the town beach and Ditch plains (where I grew up.) You can still venture out to the spots super easily and have the best of both worlds!
