About this property

This villa is located in Emerald Island Resort, a gated community with live guards 24/7. The resort has a club house with resort management and concierge services, two community pools and spas, a tiki bar for drinks and snacks, three playgrounds, tennis, basketball, volleyball, cyper cafe, arcade, sauna, fitness center and nature trail for walking. This sidewalk community provides a relaxing residential atmosphere.

The first master bedroom has a king sized bed. This bedroom has an en suite bathroom. A sliding glass door leads to the pool and spa area. The pool area can also be accessed directly from the bathroom. The second master bedroom has a queen sized bed. There is an en suite bath.

More Details:: The other two bedrooms each have two single beds. These two bedrooms share the family bath with a tub and shower. There is a sofa in the living room along with a love seat. The villa can accommodate a maximum of eight guests. There is dining service for ten with six at the dining room table and four in the kitchen nook. The villa has a south facing pool and spa. The pool area can be accessed from the living room, the master bedroom or the master bedroom bath and is equipped with door alarms and safety fencing.

Free telephone calls in the USA are provided. Bring your laptop computer as the villa is equipped with wireless Internet. There are five TVs and a three DVDs. Approximately 75 TV channels are available including several HBO offerings, Spanish speaking stations and the BBC. The property has a full equipped kitchen and laundry facilities. Linens and bedding are provided.

A pack'n play, high chair and booster seat, and umbrella stroller provided for our younger guests at no additional cost.

Holiday stay

Richard is great at communicating, quick responses. The house was clean, comfortable. There were 7 of us, more than enough towels, beach towels. The house is well maintained. Not one thing was wrong. Will stay again!

Very nice overall experience

Home was very nice. Comfortable beds. Nice, quiet neighborhood/resort. Home was within walking distance to a playground, and there is tennis, basketball, shuffleboard, a walking trail, and a very small mini golf course near the clubhouse. Game room is great. We spent a lot of our downtime playing pool, foosball, and swimming in the pool. Owner is friendly and very responsive. Generally clean and well maintained. Only four stars rather than five for a few small reasons. The mats in the bathroom could use a good washing. It looked like they hadn't been cleaned in a while. The plastic plates and bowls get very hot underneath when hot food is placed on them or when microwaved. The lightbulbs in the lamps in the bedrooms and living room also get extremely hot when on for a while, and you have to be careful turning them off. The bedrooms are also very dark with just one or two lamps. We also would have liked a few more extra blankets for sleeping (we only found three) and more lighting in the pool area (the pool light didn't work). Again, these are just the things that made us rate it four stars instead of five. They are more suggestions for improvement rather than deal-breakers. We generally had a wonderful stay and would book again in the future.

Had a great holiday, perfect location for the parks

We all a lovely time here, very clean and any question I had on the build up to us arriving was answered very quickly. Resort was lovely too including the security on the gate. Only 15-20 min to parks and 5 min or so to the shops. Little tip- you can see a rocket launch from the front of the house(we downloaded the rocket app to see times!)

Comfortable as your own home.

We loved our stay here. There was plenty of room and everything was clean. So much better than a hotel stay. The hot tub was great after a long day at the parks. We had everything we needed and very up to date.

We are a retired couple. The husband was a certified public accountant with a regional firm. The wife was a homemaker. We use the villa for three months each year to escape the winter weather of western Pennsylvania. We selected this location for its closeness to the major attractions of central Florida. Disney World is three miles with only one traffic light from the villa. Universal and Sea World are about 10 miles away with most the distance on an interstate highway. And Legoland is approximately 25 miles from the villa.
There is so much to do in central Florida and you are less 2 hours from both coasts of Florida. We love the weather here and feel we made a good choice to buy at Emerald Island

Why they chose this property

Upon retirement, we started to come to Florida for a month or two. Each year our time in the Orlando area increased. We used time share weeks and rented villas and town houses during the first years of annual trips to central Florida. In 2008 we found Emerald Island and fell in love with it. We decided to buy a second home near Disney in 2010. After considering several nearby vacation communities, we purchased our villa at Emerald Island. We have not regretted our decision.

What makes this property unique

Emerald Island welcomes short-term renters. We have hosted many American, Canadian and United Kingdom travelers. Some visitors stay only for a few days whiles may be
here for a month or longer. All are welcome!
