Watch a beautiful sunrise or spot our local birdlife from the patio. Your private patio, with comfortable seating and BBQ. We have humming birds, bald eagles and many others, the deer will hang out with you and we even have our very own bunny.
The apartment space feels calming and spacious and it is a truly 'be at peace' place.
The apartment has a comfortable and quiet queen bedroom, private bathroom, open plan living, dining and kitchen area makes it feel large and roomy.
We have carefully selected comfortable couch and fluffy blankets for your stay. Theres nothing nicer than snuggling up to watch a movie or read a book in front of the fire after a hard day on the beach or travelling around the area.
We have also ensured that you can dine in comfort at the table and have all the equipment to create a masterpice meal like you would at home.
We have also included some little extra's in the kitchen along with a full fridge and all the usual items to make sure you have everything you need.
Don't want to cook? A quick, 17 minutes to be exact, drive away and you're at local restaurants and bars. Literally the nearest restaurant is 17 minutes away, the nearest brewery is 17 minutes away and the nearest pizza place is on your way back from French Beach.

Cycling & Mountain Biking
Sooke offers various cycling trails for all skill levels, from the flat, family-friendly Galloping Goose Trail to the rugged trails around Matheson Lake. Note: The Galloping Goose Trail does not actually come into the town core. Also be sure to check out the Sooke Bike Club for guided group rides, trail maintanance work parties and more.
Ebikes can be hired through the host.
Sooke have several choices of regional golf courses, including the 9-hole DeMamiel Creek Golf Course within the town centre, plus those in neighbouring Metchosin and Colwood.
Kayak, paddle board, cold water swim, sunbathe, make sandcastles, hike, visit secret beaches and hidden treasures (details available from host). Go whale watching with our local tour company. Hang out at the harbour and watch seals, wander along Whiffin Spit and maybe you will see the orca visiting, Go to Jordan River and hang with the surfers. Forest bath with tree's that have been so long you can't see the tops, check out fossils and petroglyphs.
Welcome to a community of artists, musicians and performers, and our own local orchestra and theatre company. As well the famous Sooke Fine Arts Show, the road from Sooke to Port Renfrew is home to many art galleries and artisan studios.
15 minutes to Sooke Potholes - In the hot summer days, the potholes, formed by thousands of years of erosion, are a refreshing place to swim. In the fall, watching the salmon spawn is a fascinating experience.
The Sooke River meets the Ocean by the Bridge on Sooke Road. Nearby is Billings Spit, the Sooke Region Museum, SEAPARC Arena and Swimming Pool. The river has spawning salmon, wild ducks, geese and swans.

10 minutes from the apartment is Galloping Goose Trail
Once an old railway line, the Galloping Goose Trail is now a favorite walking, cycling, and horseback riding trail. This scenic trails guides you through the Westshore communities from Victoria to Sooke, and onto the abandoned gold mining town of Leechtown.
20 minutes away the East Sooke Regional Park consumes over 3500 acres of East Sooke, and borders the Juan de Fuca Straight on one side. Take a relaxing trek away from the everyday on the 50 km of trails as they weave their way through this wilderness park. Enjoy the peaceful forests and the trickling creeks on your visit to nature's mecca.
2 minutes from the apartment is Gordon's Beach - Gordon's Beach is located on West Coast Road, with easy vehicle access. Marvel at spectacular sunsets from this pebble and driftwood laden beach. We have often sat and watched the sealions surfing the waves here!
After coffee and cake at the famous Shirley Delicious Cafe just 10 minutes from the apartment, but in summer be prepared to line up, but hang in there it is worth the wait, those focaccia laden sandwiches are worth the wait. then head to Sherigham Lighthouse and the beautiful French Beach Provincial Park a scenic pebble and sand beach with hidden treasures, facing the Juan de Fuca Strait. It's a great place to spend the day, featuring large lawns, picnic tables, and BBQ pits.
27 minutes from the apartment, China Beach is a beautiful beach with diverse terrain, offering sandy beaches for easy strolling as well as rugged west coast trails for more adventurous hiking. China Beach also features a spectacular waterfall.
