Centrally located in Rittenhouse Square. Just one block away from the park, and the best farmers market in the city. The space *Please note that while the unit has been professionally cleaned, the flooring may look dusty or dirty in certain spots, this is due to the floor being lacquered over during a renovation before I took over this apartment and there's no way to get rid of that look. Great location right in the heart of the city/Rittenhouse area. Walking distance to a lot of areas. It was perfect for us! If you like eclectic and apartment dwelling without the stuffy hotel feel, you'll enjoy this place!
The apartment is exactly as listed in the description, if not a little better. It was clean, had plenty of space, and the location couldn't be beat. The host was very responsive to my questions and one special request. The check-in process went smoothly, precisely as communicated by the host. I will be staying here again.
The main thing that I think should be shared about the place is that it was on the 4th floor of a 4 story walkup. There are 64 steps you’ll need to climb to get to the place. There are also 2 steps you’ll need to climb to get into the bathroom which is attached to the bedroom. This isn’t meant to prevent anyone from renting it, unless you’re not able to carry your stuff up 4 flights of stairs. I had to pause on the 3rd floor and catch my breath, but I also was usually carrying an extra 20-40 pounds of stuff with me. (I was there for a book conference.)There are 2 window air conditioners - one in the kitchen and one in the living room. None in the bedroom. I went during a heat way. Heat also rises. The owner did communicate with me about the heat prior to my arrival but there really wasn’t a good alternative option other than staying there. Fortunately, I tolerate heat well and the weather improved, which allowed the air conditioners to catch up. There are a lot of high end shops around. Target is nearby with a nice grocery store. There were plenty of restaurants. I also was glad to learn about the #17 bus which was very convenient and took me near to the convention center and to the Liberty bell. I was glad to not have a car as parking was limited. The place was clean. There were some dishes. I will warn folks about the bed frame as it has 8 legs, not 4. I stubbed my toes mightily on the legs that are in the middle of the bed.
