VERY disappointed. The check in process had a very bad feel...some random guy met us in the lobby, and immediately took us up to the apartment and asked me to sign a contract and pay a deposit. The whole process felt like we were being led to a back alley to be robbed. The guy who met us was not dressed professionally and didn't really introduce himself. There was no way to tell if he was the proper person, or someone just trying to run a scam. Said contract laid out additional charges (deposit and electricity) that were not disclosed at the time of booking. In addition, when I booked online, the apartment was listed as, "3 bdrm/2bath"...that was NOT what it was. It was 2/1. The pictures of the apartment are at least 10 years old and do NOT represent the current condition of the apartment. The apartment was very dirty...from floors, to walls, to bathroom. The kitchen was in horrible condition with grease on the walls and stove and a dirty sink. The curtain rod in the main room was torn off the wall on one end and was just hanging there giving the place a rundown motel feel. The towel bar in the bathroom was broken, the toilet seat was broken, the beds were well used and did not appear to be clean. The red couch in the main room was so old it looked like a former college dormitory furniture that had been pulled out of a dump. No one in our group would sit on it as it was so dirty and broken down. It should have been replaced LONG LONG ago. The patio had a broken down, rusted clothes rack and several dirty mop buckets. The table and chairs were cheap white plastic that were so dirty, they were unusable. They did NOT resemble the nice outdoor furniture set and place setting shown in the pictures. The ONLY redeeming quality about this place was the location. Super convenient to the beach and to the pubs. We were so disgusted with the place, we actually checked out a day early. At check out, I noticed the contract had been changed, with the prepaid roundtrip airport transfer now listed as "one way". When I brought this up, a call had to be made to authorize the return trip and we had to wait 30 minutes for them to arrange a cab. None of us felt safe or clean during our stay and had we not prepaid, we would have walked out and NOT stayed at the place at all. While we were there, a realtor showed us a unit on the ocean side for sale and we were all amazed at how nice it was. What a different experience it would have been to stay in that unit.
