Fishing Paradise
I had a very relaxing time at this cottage. Ted, the owner, is one of the nicest guys you’ll ever meet. He’ll rent you his boat and even take you out on a tour of the local waterways to show you some great spots for fishing. He keeps the grounds looking beautiful and is always available as he’s right next door. It’s a great place for swimming too.

Great getaway, beautiful location
Ted and Bev are great hosts! We stayed in the cottage for one week, having booked it for its remote location and the fact it had its own small beach (wanting to avoid crowded places). Travelled with my wife, our 4 year old and my mother. There was lots of room for all of us; could have had a couple more people and it would have been fine. Bev and Ted live next door on the same property so they’re right there when you need anything. The lake is beautiful and so are the sunsets! The big deck with the BBQ was a highlight - we ate nearly every meal out there. The cottage is very well equipped with kitchen stuff, dishes, linens etc., and also a wide array of indoor activities for rainy days, for both kids and adults. Port Loring is a bit off the beaten path for us but it was worth the trip! Thanks Ted and Bev! (Note: there’s no Wifi and cell reception is spotty, so come prepared to unplug! There’s also no DVD player even though one was listed. Not a major issue obviously but good to know for planning purposes especially for little ones.)
