A historical lakefront Ontario resort and marina conveniently located on the south shore of Rice Lake. We offer several rental cottages in the Village of Gore's Landing. These Ontario rental cottages are just 15 minutes from Cobourg and Port Hope, only 30 minutes from Peterborough, and only 90 minutes east of Toronto. There are many amenities nearby.

We offer an affordable cottage rental destination for family vacations, fisherman's getaways or enjoyment of the abundant wildlife. Several of our rental cottages are over the water and none are more than 150 feet from the waterline.

Each cottage has a well-equipped kitchen including a refrigerator, electric range, microwave, toaster, coffee maker and all the pots, pans and dishes you should need. We also have electric heating and full-sized gas barbeques (propane included) for each cottage and individual fire-pits.

For those of you who like to keep in touch, we have high-speed internet access with a terminal in the reception area. Most cottages have TV's and DVD's with an extensive movie collection in the office at no extra.

Rice lake stay

Lovely setting right at lakeside. Hosts were warm and friendly. Other guests were a delightful blend of all skin colours, an important aspect for us - what our whole society should be!

Amazing trip!

My family and I had an amazing time during our stay. Carla and Angus were very kind and helped us with all our needs right away. There is a canoe, a paddle boat, life jackets, board games, movies and more offered to visitors for free. I would definitely stay here again and I will be recommending these cottages to friends!

Great place

There were 8 of us in total. We stayed in cottage 5. The cottage was slanted but it wasn't dangerous. We went for a long weekend. Great fishing. Easy to get a boat from the marina. Area for swimming. Lots of windows to let in a nice breeze at night for sleeping. I dont have any complaints. I would stay again.

Beautiful lake, property lacking.

Very responsive owners - whenever we needed something they had it straightaway. Cottage was very clean. Cottage did not seem well maintained - there was a significant slant to the cottage. A few minor safety issues that made the cottage a bit difficult with young kids (broken flooring transition strip with very sharp edges, splintery floor in the screened in porch).
