NO PARTY AND LOUD MUSIC ALLOWED IN THE BACK PATIO AFTER 8PM.

Check out instruction:
Please turn off all lights, turn AC on 78 degrees, put trash in the trash can outside, if you check out on Monday, please push the trash can by the road, the dumpster will be picked up on each Tuesday. Put all dirty sheets and towels in laundry room, all dirty dishes in the dish washer. Thank you!

If you check out on Monday, please push the trash can to the road, every Tuesday they'll dump the trash can.
Please put all dirty towels and sheets in the laundry room.
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.

We stayed three weeks the place was awesome! My coworkers and I would fish in the pond behind the house. Kitchen was great we cooked every night. Overall experience was awesome and I’ll be staying again for sure.

Lake Charles house on 10 acres

Very nice house. I would stay there again. Can’t rate it an overall 5 star because of the following:Yard needed to be mowed. Grass was too high to access the fishing pond that was advertised. When first got to the house, found a window pane on the bedroom floor. Window pane made to un-clip at the top and allow the window fold into the room. It had been raining and water was on the floor because pane had folded into the room. I put the window pane back in place and Inspected the rest of the windows and found 6 more that were unlocked and one of them would not lock. Had to put a rod in the track to prevent window from being able to open from outside.

It’s always great to get away from the city. Property welcoming (grass high) however so welcoming. The owner so accommodating no issue was a big issue to solve, overall great stay. Would recommend

Lake Charles

The grass needed cutting, but the lawnmower was left in the garage, so access to the pond was blocked by tall grass. I did manage to cut near the house to at least get a view of something crawling. There were a lot of spider webs, dead bugs (mainly from the porch lights), and dishes had to be rewashed. Pots were limited, and the outdoor kitchen was dirty, with bird droppings and bugs everywhere. I cleaned the kitchen with the hope of using it, but didn’t end up doing so.There were also issues with the music inside the house – old school R\&B – which kept triggering the porch/patio speakers to turn on every time the song changed. The host texted me, demanding me to turn it off because neighbors were complaining about the noise, but when we checked, no one was outside to even hear it. The houses were a good distance apart, and the neighbors were playing music loudly on a side-by-side, which could only be heard when they passed near the property line, so it was unclear how they could actually hear the music. You ended up shutting off most of the sounds from the house. Checking after each sound and cutting it off. Internet was also problematic, with only the living room and one bedroom getting TV, and the connection kept dropping or buffering. Despite all of this, we loved the home and enjoyed our stay, but felt some things could’ve been better.Didn’t think about taking any pictures. My stay was July 18-20,2025.
