Casa del Arte (the house of Art) 1 bedroom apartment.Sleeps up to 3/ 4 people and located between the seaside town of Roses (2kms) and the natural and rugged hills of the Costa Brava overlooking the stunning Bay of Canyelles. Casa del Arte commands fantastic views over the ocean and the beach. Located in a small development of just 12 units with a shared swimming pool, it is close to the beach and the local facilities (restaurants, shops, beaches, and marinas etc) and the town of Roses. Combining home comfort with the contemporary to provide a unique holiday experience. The large main room is an open-plan living space with kitchen, vast windows lead onto the sun terrace with its magnificent views. A double sofa bed, satellite TV, home cinema, wifi, ceiling fans. Not an experience to be repeated but somewhat presictable . Wifi OK , view lovely . Apartment very small ,shabby out of date furnishings , poor kitchen equipment. Not suitable for out of season rental plus overpriced . I could continue ...access very steep so over 60's beware etc etc

Gepflegte Anlage,tolle Sicht,freundliche Vermieter

Klare Empfehlung. Die Fewo ist in gutem Zustand, ebenso der Pool. Die Anlage ist ruhig. Selbst in der Hauptsaison waren meist nur wenige Leute im Pool, oft hatten wir ihn auch für uns. Man ist hoch über dem Ortsteil Canyelles. Hier weht oft eine leichte Brise- im Sommer angenehm. Im Herbst sollte man für Abende auf dem Balkon was Langärmeliges einpacken. In der Saison hört man bis in die Nacht, wie Menschen im ganzen Ort draußen plaudern. Das ist aber relativ leise. Laute Musik kam in unserer Woche nicht vor. Im Schlafzimmer ist all das nicht wahrnehmbar. Die Anfahrt erfolgt über einige Serpentinen mit Abhängen, der Weg ist aber befestigt und mit Pfeilern begrenzt. Grandiose Aussicht. Man thront, ist aber auch etwas entfernt vom Geschehen. Runter zum Strand läuft man 20 Minuten. Vor dem Haus ist ein Parkplatz. Mit Auto lassen sich die kleinen Buchten Richtung Montjoi schnell erreichen. Von den dortigen Parkplätzen an der ebenfalls schlengeligen Straße läuft man zwar auch noch ein paar 100 Meter über Fußpfade runter. Dafür sind die Buchten individueller und besser zum Schnorcheln. Aber auch der kleine und der große Strand von Canyelles sind schön, nur etwas voll in der Saison. Roses bietet viel Gastronomie und Shops. Im Sommer leider auch Staus. Wer Ausflüge plant, muss hier durch - das dauert oft länger als 15 Minuten. Die Übergabe der Fewo war nett und unkompliziert. In unserem Fall konnten wir schon mittags einziehen. Die Vermieterin kommt aus Großbritannien, wohnt in der Nähe und gibt gerne Tipps. Das einzige kleine Problem waren einige Ameisen, die ihren Weg in die Wohnung fanden. Das lässt sich aber in den Griff bekommen. Für die Anreise empfehlen sich die Sonnabend-Flüge nach Girona.

What a location!

Charming apartment, modern, comfortable, clean, pleasant surrounding + pool. Attendant truly there to greet you. My husband and I have been renting apartments around Europe for a while and this is one apartment where everything comes around nicely. The view is outstanding: the beaches, the Mediterranean and the mountains. Lots of things to do and visit in the region if you want to walk or visit museums. Very good restaurants and food stores.»

Costa Brava Vacation

My family and I had a wonderful week at Casa del Arte Apartment. We were very impressed with stylish accomodation and facilities provided. The owners customer and management service was superb and Kerry the manageress made us very welcome and nothing was too much trouble.Location is excellent for visiting all major tourist attractions. However major advantage Casa del Arte is in a quiet spot away from the crowds of tourists and we were very happy at the end of the day to return, relax on the terrace, lie by the pool.. The town of Roses is lively with plenty of value for money restaurants and bars, I must admit we didn't do much cooking

Great Little Place

We spent a week with my wife at Casa Del Arte. The apartment was lovely, spotlessly clean, nicely decorated, all ammenities.We appreciated the walk in shower and queen bed. The personal touches to the deco on the theme of the artists , photos of Dali , Picasso etc were nice. The views from the terrace are wow! We sat for hours watching the sea, the boats and the beach. We appeciated the swimming pool on site we had it to ourselves for most of our stay. As there are only a dozen apartments on the complex it is very quiet and intimate, perfect to get away from the crowds but near enough to access all the night life, bars and restaurants in Roses town. We highly recommend Casa del Arte
