Apartment, 1 Bedroom + Loft + Den, 1.25 Baths, (Sleeps 2-4)
My husband and myself are both retired university professors from Montreal, Quebec, Canada. We love France where we have both studied and keep this appartement for spending six months or more in Paris each year. Lots of books and places to work are provided and we also spend a lot of time here with friends, that is why we have a large living room and dining room. We were specialized in Politicis and Law. We find France and french daily life completely different from Quebec and we enjoy following culturel and political activities. The place is organized for us to enjoy intellectual work independently. In Montreal, we are used to have 1,600sm apartment but we don't mind if Paris'one is only 64sm even for a long period since we also spend time in coffee places since there are two, one on the first floor of the neighbor building and one across the street. We can also eat there and enjoy local good french food. We need no car in Paris and life is much more simple with the subway just in front and the different close buses available. We also have friendly relations with our neighbors and the janitor of our building is a reliable person. So we like coming back to Paris and find this friendly surrounding. We are pleased with the idea of sharing our private atmosphere and comfort with those who love Paris or are curious to discover it.
Owner purchased this Apartment in 1998
Why Owner chose Necker
We have been studying in Paris for our PhD degrees. I have been working in Paris in a cooperation agreement between Quebec and France. When that term was over. we were sad to leave and decided to have our own place. In Quebec we dont have a vacation place, we have a garden downtown. But we are happy to have a vacation place in France.
What makes this Apartment unique
We first enjoy the location. Our area is not in the rushing places that some touristical streets represent. aT THE SAME, WHILE WE DONT SUFFER FROM THE NOISE AND STRESS OF THOSE PLACES, WE HAVE A DIRECT link with the buses and the subway. We also enjoy the fact that we are at the same time in a typical old time and modern area. We find all sorts of open shops with fresh fish, fresh vegetables etc. Also there are super department stores. Everything is close. There is a charming garden very close. An hospital for required consultations and so on. We would not change place. At the same time, the apartment is warm and friendly and has all expected services. It is also quiet. The bedroom is at the back and oriented south facing white buildings and an inside garden. There is plenty of light all around.

In my own place!!!
I have enjoyed the apartment it is my own place. I should not be requested a comment!!!
We would not hesitate to book this hone on a return trip to Paris
These tenants were very easy to relate with. Nice experience. Good communication.
Very happy with this accommodation!
Yes, the apartment was just what we needed! The building felt quite secure and a neighbor was very helpful in arranging for pick-up and drop-off of the keys. The location was perfect, lots of shops and the metro was just across the street. Loved having the elevator available after a day of extended walking, and also for the transportation of luggage (my granddaughter had quite a bit of photography equipment with her, which made for 2 heavy suitcases). We also enjoyed looking at the pictures on the walls, along with the other art objects throughout the apartment. Again, thank you for accepting our reservation; we look forward to visiting your vibrant and beautiful country again!
Thanks. You have been so communicative and friendly in our relation. It is as I expected. Knowing that the tenants are satisfied and happy makes us satisfied too.
Perfect place to stay in Paris

Thanks! Will be pleased to receive you again, You were also fine persons to deal with A. L.
Lovely Flat In A Genuine French "Neighborhood"
My best friend and I recently stayed at this lovely flat for over two weeks and felt completely at home. The owner made us feel extremely welcome, even though we never met. The flat is cozy and warm, filled with books and the unique bibelot of its obviously well-traveled hosts.
There is an elevator, which was perfect for two, not-so-young-anymore travelers, and the neighbors we ran into as we came and went were extremely kind.
The kitchen had everything we needed to cook......though we often brought in the delicious offerings of the local marche's and grocery stores we love.
The flat is spacious by French standards, with a small balcony overlooking the street and the little Cafe des Voluntaires where we had our morning cafe cremes and tartine with butter and jam. Dinner there one evening was a tasty "blanquet du veau." The Paris Metro is right across the street so getting all over Paris was a breeze. There's a Monoprix on nearby Rue Lecourbe and a Franprix and post office 2 blocks down rue Vaugirard from the apartment. There are also 2 nice patisseries nearby, one of them right downstairs. Typical French shops and many unique cafes are found everywhere.....just walk in any direction. Exploring the area was great fun.
The TV is large and HD......so of course we spent one entire day watching the royal wedding of Prince Harry and his American bride.
All in all, we highly recommend this flat for anyone wishing to feel as if they are genuine residents of Paris.....we certainly did!
It was a real pleasure to host these two ladies and to be in touch with one of them, the other still being unknown to us. We had a lot of exchanges by email and through telephone: I wanted to make sure that everything was fine and convenient. Hosting communicative persons and confident ones is much easier. This experience wa a real pleasure for each of us. It gave me the opportunity to overview all aspects of their stay. Thanks to them.
Wonderful neighborhood; quiet apartment
This rental is in the 15th arrondissement of Paris with excellent Metro and bus access. Neighborhood has everything one needs for a long stay in terms of shops and amenities. Tourist sites are easily accessible yet one also has the experience of living in the real Paris. The apartment is nice with its feeling of being a guest in a home, and it is calm and quiet. We found the owner to be responsive to all our questions and needs and enjoyed our email exchanges with her. We would not hesitate to stay here again.
It was a real pleasure to communicate with this person. We like the tenants to feel at home, as a personal guest. I did my best to answer all requests, informations coming from her. Renting is not only a business relation. It is a human oppotunity to exchange and respect each other. This tenant was exceptional in that sense. The apartment they left behinf after their stay was expressing respect and harmony. through cleanliness and order. Very rich communication.
Easy access to all Paris exciting places, Tour Eiffiel, Champs Élysées, Arc de Triomphe, Place de la Concorde, L'Opéra, l'Hôtel de Ville, Le Marais, Le Louvre, Rive Gauche, Bibliothèque François Mitterrand, les Quais de la Seine, all are accessible by bus leaving from downstairs. One block from the typical rue Lecourbe whit french open markets etc. Many open markets all around.
