Founder’s Pointe is a gorgeous four acre property on Lake Tuscaloosa. It is serene, luxurious, and located only 13 minutes from the UA campus. The views are stunning! The listing is for the two bedroom Guest Suite which was built with completely private access, a private bath and a kitchenette. Your stay can be enhanced with a lake cruise, a charcuterie board, s’mores at our lake side fire pit or for onsite fine dining for up to 12 guests by the resident chef (additional fees apply).

Gorgeous property!

Absolutely beautiful! The host was very responsive. Place decorated nicely and had everything we needed for our stay. Pictures and description online were exact! Very smooth process. We would definitely stay again.

Clean, beautiful, and comfortable

It was Our daughters 1st day attending Alabama. We stayed in the Mother In Law suite overseeing Lake Tuscaloosa. Beautiful home and setting. Alison was very helpful. Location is about 10-15 minutes from campus. We’re definitely looking to stay here when we visit our daughter.

I am a traveling yacht chef and a local entrepreneur. I am married to a UA professor and we have two older teenage children and one Goldendoodle.

Why they chose this property

Our 4 acres of private property is located on beautiful Lake Tuscaloosa in Northport, Alabama approximately 13 minutes from the University of Alabama campus. It is quiet, luxurious, serene, and absolutely stunning!

Our guests have access to their completely separate and private two-bedroom Guest Suite with its own dedicated garage parking. Between the hours of 9am to 9pm guests can also enjoy the comfortable outdoor living areas where they can enjoy the breathtaking, spectacular views of Lake Tuscaloosa. The secluded, private rooms within the guest residence are spacious and comfortable. The lake views are incredibly stunning. There is a dedicated kitchenette with a coffee maker, microwave, stocked mini fridge, stocked snack baskets, and coffee. Garage parking is available for one vehicle - with the Guest Suite’s stair access available immediately off the garage.

While we will be onsite in our private living quarters we certainly provide our guests maximum privacy, autonomy, serenity, and 5-star hotel style service. The Founder’s Pointe at Lake Tuscaloosa Guest Suite is completely separated from our family living areas and access to the Guest Suite wing is completely separately secured allowing guests to come and go as they please.

We are eager to host you with as much OR as little interaction as you prefer. There are many times we host guests and never even see them as it is a very large estate style home with plenty of room to spread out! We hope to share our slice of heaven with you!

What makes this property unique

The Founder’s Pointe Guest Suite is only open to one group at a time. We do not allow more than one group or traveling party to book for the same or overlapping dates. Our family does reside in the main residence but we’ve routinely hosted guests without ever seeing them! 7000+ square feet and 4 acres is plenty of room to spread out and for everyone to enjoy their privacy!

The property has easy access to the lake! The property features two docks - with one of these available for guest use with just a bit of communication. We are also happy to set up and anchor our “fun barge” on the lake near our main dock so guests can enjoy the diving board, the lily pad, or a bit of sun bathing! We also have cornhole boards, tons of board games and a croquet set available! There are two large porches - one with a tv that our guests are able to use! Simply let us know if you’d like to enjoy any of these amenities and we will gladly make them available for you!
