Ca’ Fortuna is a luxurious canal-side apartment on the third floor of a palazzo in San Polo. It is light and bright with large windows on three sides. Entranceway leading to dining room, sitting room (with sofa bed), two bedrooms (each with queen beds), family bathroom (with bath/shower) and ensuite bathroom (with shower), kitchen and balcony with canal view. It is very well equipped!!
Amenities:
• Entry/dining room - Dining table and seating for six.
• Sitting Room – 1 three seater Natuzzi leather sofa (double sofa bed), 1 Natuzzi leather armchair, wide curve-screen smart HDTV and DVD player.
• Bedrooms – Two bedrooms each with a queen size bed. Reading lights/tables, large wardrobes/drawers, mirror.
• Family Bathroom – Power shower/bath, washstand, WC and bidet and cabinet, heated towel rack. The brand new water pump and water tank ensure that the water pressure is very good with continuous hot water on demand.
• Ensuite Bathroom - Power shower, washstand, WC and bidet and cabinet, hairdryer, washing machine and heated towel racks.
• Kitchen – dishwasher, gas cooker with extractor fan, electric oven, microwave, toaster, electric kettle, fridge, full set of cooking utensils/crockery/glassware/cutlery.
• Balcony – overlooking canal with table and two chairs.
• Central heating.
• Air conditioning – centralised in the entry/dining area.

Great unit

The unit was very clean and easy to check-in. The location is in the heart of Venice and it is easy to walk to everything. The neighborhood is very quiet and its nice to sit on the balcony, enjoying a bottle of wine and watching the boats on the canals. Would highly recommend this unit.

Carnival in Venice

Lovely, comfortable and warm flat (we visited in February) in an ideal location with plenty of local amenities but a refuge from the crowds thronging St Mark's Square and the Rialto. Everything was well-organised and we appreciated the detailed information issued in advance. The restaurant tips were especially helpful. We liked Muro Frari, Tavenetta da Baffo and Frary's. It was a lot of fun wandering the streets during carnival and seeing the impressive and sometimes outlandish costumes and masks on display. A performance of La Boheme at La Fenice was the undoubted highlight of our trip. For the return journey to the airport, we walked the 10 minutes to Piazzale Roma and took the bus which was quicker and cheaper than the vaporetto.

Absolute perfect location

We spent four nights in Linda’s apartment and couldn’t have been happier with our choice. It is exactly as advertised and we found it to be clean, quiet and in the perfect location. Everywhere we went, it was less than a 15 minute walk away. Tomasso, one of Linda’s property managers, met us at the train station and escorted us back to the apartment and explained all we needed to know about the apartment and Enrica was always available to answer any question we may have. Linda had already provided us with very detailed and helpful information related to local restaurants and attractions and we found her recommendations (we tried 3 restaurants) to be right on the money. Despite it being January, we couldn’t resist sitting out on the balcony, overlooking the canal, having a glass of wine and enjoying the afternoon sun. There is a grocery store 2 minutes away as well as everything else you may need. We had a wonderful stay and, just for the record, January is a great time to visit Venice with all the charm but without the crowds.

Perfect Flat for our week in Venice

This property is so lovely and the location is perfect. The balcony and view of the canal truly make it special. There’s a grocery store around the corner so getting fresh food is simple. We loved being in Venice in December! It’s off season for tourist so there weren’t any crowds or lines. The temperature was in the 50’s which was pleasant, and there weren’t any water issues so we didn’t need boots. A one word description would be “PERFECT”!

The stone and wrought iron balcony looks out over Rio di San Stin where gondolas glide their way along the beautiful canals.
San Polo is in the heart of Venice, a short walk to the train station, bus stop, Rialto Bridge and Accademia.

What makes this property unique

The apartment truly has the best of both worlds. It has a quiet neighbourhood feel being away from the hustle and bustle of the main tourist track and also close enough for a very easy walk to all points of interest. The local restaurants are excellent and our apartment compendium details our favourite local restaurants as well as those a little further away. At the same time, a stay in Venice would be incomplete without a balcony overlooking a canal especially when one can see gondolas gliding by.
