About this property

Welcome to our traditional style (with modern interior!) cedar shingle home in the lovely, wooded and quiet East Hampton North (or near Northwest Woods) area less than 2 miles from the heart of East Hampton village (an easy bike ride), 4 miles to ocean beaches (a 5 minute drive to EH's famous Main Beach) & 10 minutes drive to trendy Sag Harbor.

Our home comes equipped with 2 bikes and (if you have an NY State license) a car with town beach pass.

The modern kitchen has stainless appliances (dishwasher included) & granite counter tops and is stocked with basic cooking supplies (spices, oil, etc). The house has 3.5 bathrooms (en suite in the master with large soaking tub). There is also a new washer/dryer upstairs. We also have 3 large HD TVs as well as cable and a fast internet connection.

Outside you will find a large deck with a table that comfortably seats 8 for dinner which you can cook on the new gas grill. There is also private entry to the lower apartment through the backyard. The lower apartment includes a full sized bed, 2 couches and kitchen (sink, refrigerator and microwave - no oven)+ full bath. We store the 2 bikes and 2 body boards for guest use in the lower level!

This house is perfect for 2 families and is perfect for kids too. There are 2 twin beds and a crib in one of the 2 upstairs guest rooms as well as a baby bjorn travel crib in the basement. There are also various toys, an exersaucer, a high chair, play mat and a bouncy chair.

STAY AWAY

This house is a clear misrepresentation of what is marketed on VRBO’s platform. This house is clearly a ‘share house’ that’s been mistreated and abused without proper maintenance. The Owner confirmed that he hadn’t been to the house in a month when we complained about the condition. The list includes the following, but not limited to: -appliances were not working -hot water was not working in certain locations -lights were not working -carbon monoxide detectors beeping -excessive dust, large scratches everywhere, even large holes in drywall throughout and in one bedroom, open drywall exposing pipes and structure to house -basement bedroom had a must smell and stains everywhere, including a cracked mirror - this could be mold due to poor maintenance in high humidity. It was uninhabitable and disgusting. -backyard marketed photos are cropped strategically. There is little to no privacy on either side with the neighbors. There is a public road 20 feet behind the pool along with a large active construction site with workers who can clearly watch you while you swim and tan -an inappropriate amount of the Owner’s personal belongings in closets, bathrooms and cabinets Lastly, the Owner was extremely rude and unreasonable. He then double-booked someone the same night we left (and paid for that night). The other tenants were also extremely displeased. Owner should be ashamed of himself and this listing should be taken down immediately.

Great house, very attentive owner

We had a great experience renting the property. House was as advertised - very clean, 3 good sized bedrooms upstairs plus one downstairs, and great location 5-7 mins from East Hampton and ~10 mins from the beach. Owner was very attentive and responsive.

in the middle of east hampton

This a great property if you want to be in the middle of it all. It is is an easy drive to Sag, East Hampton village and Amagansett. The property is a wonderful salt box house. The owners gave us the use of their car for a small fee which we appreciated particularly since we didn't have access to the beach passes. The bedrooms were clean and great to come home to. There was no cable only internet tv but that didn't bother us as we were out most of the days and evenings. The owners were attentive to our questions. We enjoyed our stay.
