Large "cabin" with nearby boat slip [dog-friendly]

This dog-friendly Lake Norman "cabin" is surrounded by an acre of woods with a fully fenced-in backyard and a wrap-around covered porch. Enjoy the basement full of family fun after a day on the lake. Our boat slip is less than 1/2 a mile away, so feel free to bring your boat…or rent one. NOTE: There is no lake access from the property as it is located on a protected cove. However, our boat slip is at the communal dock only a short walk/drive away.

4 Bedrooms:
Main floor = Primary Bedroom with King bed and Smart TV
Main floor = Guest Bedroom with Queen bed and Smart TV
Upstairs = 2 bedrooms, each with 1 Queen bed (no TV)

Additional Sleeping Area: There is a sleeper sofa in the basement that sleeps 2 people. The basement does NOT have a bathroom or a sink, so anyone down there will need to come upstairs to use the bathroom.

4 1/2 Bathrooms:
Main floor = Primary/en-suite - shower, jetted tub, toilet room
Upstairs = showers only (no tub)
Each full bathroom is fully stocked and equipped with a hair dryer
1/2 Bath = in the laundry room off the kitchen

Parking:
Circular driveway. Feel free to park your boat trailer at the house, if needed.

Boat Slip:
Bring your own boat (2 launches nearby) or rent from a local marina.
Boat slip is located at the communal dock 1/4 mile away.
Limited parking is available for use while at the boat slip.

Kayaks:
2 kayaks available at boat slip
Paddles and life jackets are included
***Use at your own risk. I am NOT responsible for anything that happens to you while using the kayaks.***

CAMERAS:
There are 3 outdoor security cameras (Ring) for everyone's safety and security. Two are located in the front of the house and one is over the garage. They are motion-activated and record audio and visual. PLEASE do not disable them!

Supplies:
Guests are welcome to use any supplies in the kitchen/laundry room (paper towels, garbage bags, dish soap, laundry soap, TP, etc). Please don't waste supplies! And feel free to leave unopened boxes of supplies or nonperishables for the next guest.

Dogs:
This is a dog-friendly home! A $100 non-refundable fee is charged (limit 2 dogs). Dog supplies: bowls, old sheets to cover the couches/beds, a couch cover, old towels to clean up any messes, and a dog bed. The laundry room door has a dog door for easy access to the fenced-in backyard. Please use the provided pooper scooper to clean up after your pooch.

Utilities:
No compensation will be given for a temporary outage of HVAC, electricity, plumbing, propane gas, water or internet. Outages are to be reported immediately, and all efforts will be made to restore service as soon as possible.

Location:
The house located in Sherrills Ford, on the west side of Lake Norman, across the lake from Mooresville.
Note: The traffic in Mooresville on Hwy 150 can be heavy at times, so plan accordingly.

HOUSE RULES:
Whomever makes the booking must be present on the property at check-in and for the duration of the stay. The credit card used for booking must be in the name of one of the guests staying.

Overnight guest capacity is 10. If you plan to have extra daytime guests, please notify me in advance to get prior approval.

NO PARTIES! No more than 10 overnight guests, no loud music, no underage drinking, no illegal drugs.

No open flames (candles) are permitted anywhere on the property except at the firepit. Do NOT leave the grill or firepit unattended.

Smoking/vaping is NOT permitted inside the property. You are welcome to smoke on the deck and at the firepit. Please clean up any ashes/butts.

Use of any illegal substances anywhere on the property is PROHIBITED.

Violation of the above rules may result in cancellation of your reservation and the need for you to vacate the premises immediately without refund of any remaining nights. You may also be charged a $500 fee per incident.

“Welcome Book”
I have created a notebook with some other information to make your stay comfortable. It is on the kitchen table. If you have any specific questions/concerns, please contact me and I’ll be happy to help however i can.

WHAT TO BRING:
You will need firewood if you plan to use the fire pit.
Bring charcoal if you plan to cook on the grill.

ISSUES:
If you experience any issues, please notify us immediately. I will get our cleaners or handyman over as soon as possible. Note: They may need to access the premise to remedy any issues. I ask that you give me every opportunity to make this a top-notch vacation for you.

Guest access
Guests can access the whole property, except the garage and some locked closets that have owner/cleaner supplies in them.
