Monterey Country Club - A Glass of Wine and a Stunning View of Mt San Jacinto

Palm Desert is a jewel in the heart of the Coachella Valley snuggled between Rancho Mirage and Indian Wells. Michele and I are fortunate to own a large designer furnished two bedroom, two bath condominium (1300+ square feet) on a fairway within the private enclave of Monterey Country Club. We are very hands on owners and personally check out the condo before every arrival and after every departure.


Guard gates are manned 24 hours per day, all temporary visitors and vendors are screened upon entry and issued passes for a specified time frame. For added protection and to add to your vacation comfort level security patrols the community on a 24/7 basis.

The entry through our private gated courtyard welcomes you with its tiled desert colors bordered by hard wired path LED lighting with automatic controls. Our back patio borders on the fairway providing the perfect setting for breakfast, reading or perhaps an early evening bar-b-que. Enjoy a clear view of Mount San Jacinto down the fairway. Our very bright and cheerful living room with soaring cathedral ceilings, a glass enclosed fireplace and a wet bar opens into our dining area where the large glass dining table easily seats six. The atrium has a protective screen along the roofline so bugs and other critters are not a concern.

The master bedroom is a sanctuary located in the back of the unit shielded from the morning sun. It is a quiet setting, perfect for sleeping. Premium quality multi-shaded brown Masland Carpeting (new, Sept 2022) covers the floor resting on comfy 8/16”, 8 lb padding. The centerpiece: a California king-size Sealy Posturpedic Plus Euro Top Mattress (new, Sept 2022) that is literally cool to the touch providing a motion free support that extends all the way to the edge of the bed. The densely packed coil design provides pressure-relieving comfort you can count on with additional memory foam – all topped with a refreshing cool-to-touch cover and a relaxing cloud-like pillow top with a medium feel. Plus, a 37 " LG flat screen LCD.

The second bedroom floor is also covered by identical Masland Carpeting (new, Sept 2022) and contains twin beds for the kids or guests. Incidentally, all beds have goose-downs pillows for greater sleeping comfort guaranteeing a vacation free from the neck pains of cheaper pillows, as well as goose-down duvet covers for each.

Spectrum Wi-Fi modem/router/phone (FREE UNLIMITED CALL TO CANADA) will keep you connected to let the world in, but do you really want to? If you so choose there are no complications - your laptop, iPad or mobile will pick up an immediate signal. A 21" monitor to connect to your laptop is also available. We have a Panasonic 37’’ LCD HDTV (with a Sony DVD) in the living room. Full HBO + Showtime and Roku + other streaming apps are at your fingertips.

Bathing in our spacious master bath with an overhead skylight is an experience enhanced by the deep green tiled frameless shower and the recessed lighting - the water actually seems to feel cleaner. Silent, vaulted ceiling fans in the living room and both bedrooms assure a comfortable environment and our condominium comes equipped with a washer and dryer. The full kitchen is complemented with more utensils and glassware than you’ll ever need plus a coffee maker, blender, etc. We have a GE fridge, range and above the range micro. You may actually enjoy washing dishes in our Bosch dishwasher – it actually whispers. Both the master bedroom and the dining area look out onto the atrium where evening lights turn on automatically.

Monterey Country Club is located only a few minutes drive from both the fashionable 'El Paseo' with its superb restaurants as well as 'The River,' Rancho Mirage’s exciting shopping environment. Restaurants, movies, live entertainment, golf, hiking - there is much to do in Palm Desert as the Coachella Valley offers an endless variety of Vacation Experiences.
