The Yurt will sleep 6 comfortably. Secluded and wooded! Walk the trails down to Huzzy Lake, or sit next to the fire pit. The Yurt offers a Murphy bed, a loft, and has a washer and dryer, and a full kitchen. Keep warm by the wood stove and heated floors. Pick morels in the early spring, or smell the grape yards in the fall. The Yurt is great in all seasons. The Yurt is on a small lake connected to a all sports lake but does not have a beach area or dock. There is a public launch less than a 1/2 mile away if you want to bring your own boat. Restaurants, stores, and entertainment are near by!

Significant Health and Safety Issue...

Our recent stay at The Yurt was disappointing, falling below expected standards. Anticipating a relaxing week, we chose The Yurt based on its appealing online description and positive reviews. However, upon arrival, we faced a significant health and safety issue: mice infestation. The kitchen and other areas were littered with mouse droppings, and we found mouse traps, indicating the owners' awareness of this problem but no prior disclosure to us. Nightly, we were disturbed by the sound of mice in the kitchen, and mornings revealed droppings on clean dishes, counters, and our food. We saw mice running around the kitchen.This contamination forced us to eat out, incurring extra costs. The presence of rodent excrement on dishes, bedding, and dining surfaces was distressing and a clear breach of the implied warranty of habitability. The lack of disclosure about these conditions and the discrepancy between the advertised and actual state of the property is alarming. We urge immediate action to address these health and safety issues for the well-being of future guests. The property should not be rented until these significant health and safety concerns are resolved.

Hidden Gem

The Yurt was incredible. It was the perfect place to decompress and reset. A touch of whimsy and a lot of nature was exactly what we needed. We live busy, fast paced lives and this stay was the polar opposite of our day to day and was perfect. It was clean, well appointed and so much fun. We will no doubt be returning next year!

A peaceful stay near the bustling city

There is a bit of everything, at the Yurt, for our grown family. The building and view are gorgeous and peaceful. The in floor heating and old records made things cozy. And a quick jaunt to portage provided plenty of fast paced adventure for our 20 something children. It is a bit of paradise tucked away in nature. The only thing people complained about was finding the turn, because it really is out of the view of the rest of the world.
