Not quite what we were expecting at this property
I am not one that will typically take the time to write up a review, but felt this one needed it. The septic smell was overwhelming all week. Sent message as soon as arrived at house, told they would sent maintenance man out on Monday (arrived on Sunday), he came with a couple of bottles of air freshener spray & said running bleach in a washer cycle would take care of it (it did not). There is a clear septic issue that the owner isn't wanting to address. We also wouldn't use the hot tub because the support posts under the hot tub looked as if any weight added to it would collapse it from where it was on the deck, as most of the wood was rotten underneath and needs replaced. There was a lot of dust everywhere that couldn't be wiped off even w a wet one. So when I was told off a message about a month prior to our stay that it was deep cleaned recently by the owners daughter, she may have deep cleaned but needs to wipe down the wood walls and trim to remove the years of dust not removed from them. Lots of little issues, broken cabinet knobs, floors have warped/lean so counters and table lean heavily. The management company was prompt & responsive to my texts/concerns. Overall we made best of it, as house IS liveable, beds clean, hot water. We still had a great time, but would highly recommend owner does some upgrades or charge way less for the issues you have to work around and endure.

Nice but needs a good cleaning inside and outside
Outside the property needs a good cleaning and. The jacuzzi was wonderful. The home has a beautiful view and is on a quiet road. The home was 70% clean I would say, needs a deep cleaning. Some missing handles on the kitchen cabinets. 3 spacious bedrooms with bathrooms attached. Two refrigerators with one collecting water inside the drawer. Overall not a bad stay.

It was... decent
Ok so the cabin could have used a good cleaning. Floors were kind of dirty. We had an issue with the water turning brown! It was from sediment in the hot water heater. We opened the faucets and ran it out. We called the property manager and explained. They wanted to write it off as well water until we sent photos. They had a technician come out the next morning. Good on them! No more issues with water. The cabin is at the bottom of a very steep hill!!!! Scared the crap out of us the first time but it was ok. Just be aware that it is VERY steep. We enjoyed our time at the cabin. Would stay again, but would prefer a good cleaning if I am paying a few thousand dollars to rent it for a week.

Not to happy
We spent almost 2000 on this cabin. It was dirty, the smell was god awful in the basement/ downstairs, dishes dirty, ping pong table was broke, master bed broke, hot water wouldn’t come out of the showers, the doc was half under the water, grill was dirty. Will not stay again!!

Greatly Disappointed
Where should we begin? I’ll start by saying that the location of this cabin is beautiful, close to Pigeon Forge and wonderful views and the cabin had a wonderful hot water system. That’s the only good things about it. When you walk in the door you are hit with the smell of sewer which gets even stronger when you go to the lower floor. Immediately after we walked in we were disappointed, this cabin that was advertised as a 4 bedroom with a loft only had 3 physical bedrooms and a loft with two “beds” which were basically glorified cots pushed up next to a daybed. The interior appeared as though it had never been cleaned. If we pulled dishes out of the cabinets we had to wash them because they were sticky with leftover food. If you walked barefoot across the living room your feet ended up black with dirt. The dock had fallen into the lake, the refrigerator leaked all over the kitchen floor. The bathtub in the main floor bedroom would flood the downstairs bedroom if used. There were about 5 different roof leaks. The shower door in the downstairs bathroom was off the track(also listed in a previous review from 3 years ago.) Out of all the light fixtures in the living room, only one bulb worked. None of the remotes had batteries in them. There was broken furniture and blinds all over the house. Don’t dare let your dumpster get full during your stay because the response from the rental agency will be to “deal with it.” When we brought the sewer smell to the attention of the rental company, we were told that it was the smell of well water (there is a distinct difference in the smell of sewer and sulfur.) For a cabin that is advertised to accommodate 14 guests, we were only provided with 10 towels. The dryer door will come open after you start the cycle so you have to keep an eye on your clothes otherwise they will not dry. There are obvious foundation problems due to the fact that the entire cabin wasn’t level to the point where it was easily seen and felt while walking through the cabin. While I feel as though the cabin has the potential to be a decent place to stay, the rental company has dropped the ball on the upkeep and maintenance. I’m afraid it will cost the owners a great price to get the cabin back into order.
