About the host
Hosted by Sharon Laraway-Gordon

I am a lifetime Michigander, having grown up on the southwest side of the state. Once married, my husband and I raised our family in Lansing and then decided we wanted to move north. We found our perfect place here in Lake Ann. The Platte River, with all of its beauty beckoned to us. We absolutely love our slice of heaven, and after building the apartment above the garage, decided we wanted to share it with others. We opened in 2020 and have not looked back! We love our visitors, and they in turn enjoy our space.
I love gardening, reading, cooking and baking, hiking and spending time with my grown children and 5 grandchildren. My husband, Gary and I have been married for 44 years. We both hope that you will also enjoy this magical spot that we call home!

Why they chose this property
We live in a wooded area on the Platte River and with a great hiking trail steps from our yard. The area is rural but less than 30 minutes to Traverse City or Frankfort.
What makes this property unique
Well appointed apartment with very comfortable and clean furnishings. We have fantastic reviews from everyone who has stayed here. The property is full of gardens, the river with a fire pit and hammocks. A great place to slow down and enjoy nature.
