About this property
Summer in downtown Charleston 3BR garden oasis
Make this summer unforgettable in Downtown Charleston. Built in 1826, this historic home is opposite the luxury hotel, The Dewberry, and just steps from King Street's shops and restaurants. Walk to Marion Square, the waterfront, museums, and galleries. Features include three bedrooms (king ensuite + two queens), a Wolf range, upstairs washer/dryer, garden with grill, and two parking spots. 28-day minimum. No pets or smoking. Pack-and-play available. City noise ordinance enforced.
The space
The home features three inviting bedrooms—two with queen beds and one with a luxurious king. One queen bedroom includes a private ensuite bathroom with a bath, while the other two share a well-appointed bathroom with a double shower. The washer and dryer are also on the second floor for added convenience.
You'll find plenty of books to enjoy during your stay, perfect for lazy afternoons or quiet evenings. The kitchen is fully equipped with all the necessary utensils and cookware, making it easy to prepare meals at home. Just off the kitchen is a generous dining room with seating for six —ideal for family dinners, friendly gatherings, or cozy nights in.
Step outside and you’ll discover a charming garden oasis: a secluded outdoor living space designed for BBQs, morning coffee, or simply savoring Charleston’s famously lovely weather. We also have a piazza on the second floor, overlooking Wragg Square and the Dewberry Hotel, and a wide porch on the first floor with rocking chairs.
Guest access
Guests have full access to the home and will also enjoy a beautifully renovated park located directly across the street—perfect for a morning stroll or an afternoon picnic. Nestled on a quiet, dead-end street, the house offers rare downtown convenience with two tandem off-street parking spaces (a true luxury in Charleston).
Just steps away, you'll find a treasure trove of cultural gems, including the Joseph Manigault House and the Charleston Museum. We’re also close to family-friendly attractions like the South Carolina Aquarium and the Children’s Museum, as well as the vibrant bars, boutiques, and dining that make King Street so iconic.
Our home is a true Charleston gem—full of charm, warmth, and all the touches that make a stay unforgettable.
Other things to note
Our home is best suited for families, couples, and respectful groups looking to enjoy the charm of Charleston. Out of respect for our neighbors, we kindly ask that guests keep noise to a minimum, especially in the evenings.
While we love pets, we do not allow animals in the home at this time.
Smoking is strictly prohibited inside the house.
The house is professionally cleaned before each stay to ensure a fresh and welcoming space for every guest.
If you’re traveling with young children, we’re happy to provide a pack-and-play and a few toys upon request.
Please note: like many historic homes in Charleston, the layout has a few quirks—but we think that adds to its charm!
Our goal is to make your stay as easy and enjoyable as possible, so feel free to reach out with any special requests ahead of time.
