This tiny home was perfect for what we needed it for….mainly sleeping & eating breakfast. Very much appreciated the owners flexibility in letting us take our pet at the last minute. Communication was good. Home is perfectly clean & very cutely decorated & we loved sitting out by the fire both nights. Suggestions: a little step or stepping stone to get in the front door would be good. I have short little legs & ended up setting a piece of wood on the turf by door to step up on. Also…we did fine with the ladder to the loft, but we were thinking in 10 yrs we might not be able to do it! Should maybe just be clarified in description that its straight up & down with little overhead clearance. Lastly, a curtain or blind over front door would be nice. We are used to the sulpher water, some people might find it unappealing…. Cute little property. We’re in discussions about getting a plot of land to put a tiny home on! 😊 Thank you!

Why they chose this property

Welcome to Lake Trail Living—Where Adventure Meets Serenity!

Tucked into the heart of Valley County, Lake Trail places you in one of Donnelly’s most charming little corners—where the pace slows, the air smells like pine and sunshine, and every day feels like a mini mountain getaway. Surrounded by whispering evergreens and nestled just minutes from the sparkling shores of Lake Cascade, this neighborhood is a true haven for nature lovers, weekend adventurers, and anyone who dreams of trading city buzz for starry skies and birdsong mornings.

In summer, wake up to the sounds of the lake calling. Bring your paddleboard or kayak down to Boulder Creek Beach, only a quick bike ride or drive away, and enjoy glassy water, golden sand, and peaceful coves perfect for lounging or exploring. Fish from the shoreline, soak up the sun, or pack a picnic and spend the day surrounded by mountain views.

Prefer land-based adventures? The area is laced with scenic trails for hiking and biking—plus you're just a short hop from charming downtown Donnelly, where you can grab a cup of locally roasted coffee, a bite at a family-run café, or browse a quirky shop or two.

In the winter, this spot becomes an idyllic snowy playground. Tamarack Resort is only about 20 minutes away for skiing, snowboarding, and après-ski views that will steal your heart. Or, stay close to home and enjoy cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, or simply curling up by the fire after a magical walk through fresh powder.

Neighbors here wave hello, deer sometimes wander by, and the sky puts on a nightly show of sunset hues and twinkling stars. Whether you’re here for adventure, tranquility, or a little of both—Lake Trail is where memories are made.

What makes this property unique

Tucked beneath towering evergreens and bathed in mountain sunlight, this stunning tiny home is the perfect blend of high design and cozy comfort. Whether you’re sipping your morning coffee on the patio, curling up with a good book on the velvet green couch, or stargazing beside the sleek smokeless fire pit, this space was made for slowing down and savoring the moment.

Inside, every inch of this home is thoughtfully styled—from the floral feature wall and natural wood ceilings to the dramatic black cabinetry and brass fixtures in the kitchen. You’ll find everything you need for a comfortable stay: a queen-sized bed, full-size shower, TV for movie nights, and a beautiful kitchen complete with a stove, oven, and all the essentials (yes, even wine glasses and cozy mugs!).

Climb the ladder to your peaceful loft bedroom, where you’ll wake up to forest views and birdsong drifting through the trees. Or stay outside and enjoy the large private yard—surrounded by nature and perfect for an evening around the fire or a sunny outdoor brunch at the bistro table.
