Location
Our 'Little House on the Bodden' is located in Neuendorf a tiny village on the shoreline of the 'Saaler Bodden' and in short distance to the popular penisola 'Fischland-Darss-Zingst' on the Balitc coast. The whole region is part of the ‘Nationalpark Vorpommersche Boddenlandschaft'. In March and October the Bodden (coasted inlet formed by the influx of the sea into an undulating terrain) are the worlds biggest resting place for cranes on their way north/south. From our house you can watch cranes. Neuendorf has a little harbour and is popular also with windsurfers and kitesurfers. The area is also perfect for hiking along the Bodden, cycling, fishing or visits to the famous hanseatic cities of Rostock and Stralsund. The Baltic coast resorts Prerow and Zingst with beautiful sandy beaches can be reached by car in 20 minutes.
