Welcome to your modern lakefront getaway on Rush Lake! Built in 2025, this spacious 5-bedroom, 4-bathroom home offers stunning water views, a flat walkout lot to the 101' of shoreline, and space for up to 12 guests.
Enjoy mornings on the private dock, afternoons kayaking or swimming, and evenings gathered around the fireplace or watching a movie on one of 8 Smart TVs. The home features 2 Primary Suites with King beds (one on each level), 2 bedrooms with Queen beds, 1 bedroom with 2 Twin beds, and an air mattress, if needed. The Hideout on Bayview is perfect for large families or group getaways.

WI FI:
You will receive login information prior to your arrival.
TELEVISIONS:
The Hideout boasts 8 (yep, EIGHT) Smart TV's! We do not offer cable/satellite, but all of the TV's are hard-wired to the internet and are ready to stream your favorite shows. The TV's use a guest mode, so they log out of your accounts upon your departure. Just follow the prompts on the screens and you'll be streaming in no time!
FLOOR HEAT:
Only use floor heat in the colder months, please.
AIR CONDITIONING/HEAT:
These are separate thermostats from floor heat. In summer months. please turn to 76 degrees before you depart. In winter months, please set to 60 degrees before you depart.
FIREPLACE:
Please turn off when not in use. Simple on/off button. There is no blower for the fireplace.
BATHROOM MIRRORS:
Please turn off the lights and anti-fog features when not in use. Blue color means they are on, white means they are off.
BATHROOM FANS:
Please turn them on when showering, to prevent mold/mildew.
AIR MATTRESS/PUMP:
Located in the upstairs front queen bedroom closet. Please deflate, fold up, and return when you are finished using it.
PACK 'N PLAY/PLAYPEN:
Located upstairs in the twin bedroom closet.
FIRE LADDER/FIRE EXTINGUISHERS
Located upstairs in the primary (master) bedroom closet. There is also a fire extinguisher located in the kitchen, next to the stove.
SPEAKER:
Feel free to use the upright speaker to listen to music. It is portable, but needs to be plugged in. It uses Bluetooth connection. Please do not take it outside.
MAIN LEVEL LAUNDRY ROOM/CLOSET:
Fly swatter, mop/bucket and vinegar, vacuum, dust mop, broom/dustpan, first aid kit, fire blanket, flashlight, step stool, plunger
WASHER/DRYER:
Please leave detergent tray pulled out when not in use, to allow it to dry. Use the rubber hook to keep the washer door open when not in use, to prevent mold/mildew. Use only liquid detergent (provided), as pods can cause problems with the septic system. Please remove lint from the trap after each use.
COFFEE POT:
Standard drip coffee maker or Keurig K-Cups can be used. There is a reusable metal filter, so paper filters are not needed. Coffee, decaf, and creamer are provided. You will need to supply your own K-Cups.
REFRIGERATOR:
Dispenses water in the pitcher. The freezer dispenses 2 sizes of ice cubes.
DISHWASHER:
Please do not use pods, as they can cause issues with the septic system. Liquid or powder detergent is provided. If you hand wash dishes, please dry them and put away. For any other dishes, please place them in the dishwasher and start the wash cycle before you depart. The dishwasher automatically pops open once the washing cycle is complete, to prevent mold/mildew issues.
TOILETS:
Please do not flush sanitary products, wipes, etc., down the toilets--even if they say they are flushable. They can cause issues with the septic system.
HIGH CHAIR:
Located in the pantry on the main floor. Please clean after each use, and put away before you depart.
COUNTER TOPS:
Please do not place hot items/cookware on the counter tops, or cut on them. Use the trivets for the hot items, and the cutting boards when cutting.
OUTSIDE:
TRASH:
Trash pick-up is on Thursday mornings. There is no recycling in Ottertail County. All trash MUST BE in enclosed trash bags when placed in the trash containters. There are 2 containers at the front of the driveway. Put all of your trash bags from your stay in the containers before you depart.
PARKING: There is ample parking space in the driveway. No street parking is allowed, or you will be towed and/or ticketed. No parking or driving on grassy areas.
GARAGE:
Guests are not allowed access to the garage. There is a security camera inside the garage that allow us to watch the electrical panel and utility room.
CAMERAS:
There are security cameras on the outside of the property, in the front and back. These are for security purposes only. There are no cameras located inside the house, other than in the garage.
QUIET HOURS:
Quiet hours are strictly enforced with Ottertail County, from 10 pm to 7 am 7 days per week. Please be respectful of our neighbors, as most of them live there year-round.
FIREWORKS:
No fireworks of any kind are allowed!
OUTDOOR FIRE PIT:
Wood is not provided. You can purchase wood for $5 per bundle about 6 miles from the house, at 40287 State Highway 78, Perham, MN. It's on the honor system, and you just put your money in the locked box. Wood can also be purchased at nearby grocery stores. Buckets are located in the shed, and you can use water from the hose, or from the lake. Please FULLY extinguish the fire when you are done, per Ottertail County regulations. Please do not put any debris in the fire pit.
BUG LIGHTS:
There are 2 bug lights in the shed that may be hung on the shepherd hooks in the front and back of the house. Do not leave them plugged in when not in use and return them to the shed when you are done with them.
FISH CLEANING TABLE:
Portable table is located in the shed, and a filet knife is located in the house. Thoroughly clean the table when done and dispose of any remains properly. No cleaning of fish or game is allowed inside the house.
PATIO UMBRELLA:
If the umbrella is not in the table, it should be in the shed. Please keep it closed when not in use, so it does not fly away and cause damage if the wind picks up.
NEIGHBORS:
Please be respectful of our neighbors privacy and do not disturb them. Most of them live here year-round.
PUBLIC BOAT ACCESS:
Public boat access is only about 800 feet to the east of the house, off of 485th Avenue!
AUTOMATIC SPRINKLERS:
During the summer, these are set to turn on around 1 am, and should not interfere with your stay.
SWIMMER'S ITCH:
Check any notices for the lake before swimming, and follow guidance from the DNR to prevent it.
S'MORE/ROASTING SKEWERS:
These are located in the shed. When you are finished with them, please wash them and hang them back up in the shed.
GAS GRILL:
Please make sure to turn the propane tank off fully when you are done grilling. Clean the grates and cover the grill after each use. PLEASE ENSURE THE GRILL IS AT LEAST ONE FOOT FROM THE HOUSE, as it can melt the siding. There is an extra propane tank in the shed.
IRRIGATION PUMP:
Located on the left (east) side of the shoreline. Do not disturb the pump by the rip rap, or the hose that pumps water from the lake.
WATER HOSE:
Uwe the hose on the hose reel. DO NOT USE THE SPIGOT BY PROPANE TANK, as that is part of the irrigation system. Please put the hose back on the reel when you are finished with it.
SHED:
The shed is stocked with a ton of lake and yard toys, as well as life jackets, an extra propane tank for the grill, 2 coolers, a portable fish cleaning table, umbrella for the patio table, the bimini top for the paddle boat, and a broom and dust pan. Please return items neatly after use and lock the shed when not in use. The shed key is labeled and located on the front entry table. Life jackets are required at all times when using the paddle boat, kayaks, or wake/knee boards.
PADDLE BOAT:
Return the boat to the lift when not in use. The bimini top is located in the shed. Life jackets must be worn at all times.
DUCKS/GEESE:
Do not feed them, as they are a nuisance and may become aggressive. The dog and eagle in the yard help to keep them away.
RIP RAP (rock shoreline):
Stay off of the rocks and only use the stairs to access the dock and water.
