First of all, our host was extremely responsive and accommodating as we looked to book last minute. We truly appreciated that. While the photos of the listing were accurate and we loved the layout of the cabin, upon arrival, we realized the cabin was extremely close to the main residence, a deterrent if you’re looking for privacy. There was a lot of traffic in and out of the main house during our stay, and the cabin lacked any sort of privacy curtains, and there are extensive windows in the cabin to let in the spectacular lake views. The cabin also did not come with a key to lock it when we left for the day, and we were extremely uncomfortable leaving our belongings inside the cabin with the amount of people in and out of the property during the course of our stay. We looked up the property during our stay and it’s listed for sale, which may have contributed to the traffic. Along with the lack of curtains or privacy coverings, the beach area had empty beer cans and trash littering the area, and we took photos as a time stamp upon arrival in case it was put back on us. We were a little sad that it rained during 2 of our 3 day stay and we didn’t get to enjoy the beach area. It’s definitely a great location close to everything going on in Sandpoint and has a lot of potential.
