Dip your toes in the surf at Kauai Kailani Oceanfront Condos on the sunny East Side of the Kauai Garden Isle. Nestled between the historic towns of Kapaa and Wailua and the nearby Wailua River State Park, guests have a dazzling assortment of activities to choose from, including exploring their wild side while hiking to Opaeka Falls or the Sleeping Giant of Nounou Mountain, surfing or whale watching on the open Pacific, picking from a handful of world-class golf courses, or walk to the many local and eclectic eateries and shopping options. Sip and aromatic glass of local rum, and pick up a unique piece of hand-crafted jewelry or art from the island's boutiques and galleries. And don't forget to scan the reef at Fuji Beach for the rare Monk Seal or bike to family-friendly Lydgate Beach Park.

The Kauai Kailani Condos each boast their own creative interior, tastefully planned for the guest's comfort and convenience. This second-floor condo is perfect for six people or less. Don't worry about stairs there is an elevator up to the second floor! You are renting one 3br condo which has 2 entrances. The main side has 2 bedrooms with full kitchen and the other a large bedroom & bathroom including a microwave, mini fridge, toaster oven, sink and coffee maker, closet & shelving + TV & shared WiFi. Sleep soundly in the king-size primary bed, as well as the 2 twin beds in the second bedroom. The side with it's own private entrance (but still connected) has a nice king size bed and en-suite bathroom. Have breakfast while taking in the coastal breezes and stunning ocean view from the balcony. Enjoy work-friendly Wi-Fi and Cable TV, a full bathroom with all the fixings, a fully stocked kitchen with stainless appliances and fit to cook for the whole Ohana— and BBQ at the common area and rec room. A golden sand beach for swimming is a short stroll away, as well as the ocean-front swimming pool, complete with plenty of lounges for sun bathing and umbrella-covered picnicking areas.

Just a coconut's throw from the condo is the famous Waipouli Beach Resort where you can sip a local-concoction at the Oasis Bar. Downtown Wailua is also around the corner, offering a handful of cool cafes, grocery stores, and other amenities including Starbucks, Health Food Store and Safeway.

Note that this vacation rental does not have A/C. Kauai's lovely trade winds, mild temperatures and eco-conscious philosophy make A/C uncommon here. But ceiling fans, open windows, and breezes right off the ocean keep the condo cool and comfortable.

Great location

Great location clean unit and helpful company. Photos don’t really show the non optimal layout. Master bedroom is possible to be a single rental which means the door doesn’t have a normal handle so you can’t close it wirhout locking the dead bolt. Not enough seating for everyone to watch tv at once, the room with twin beds directly next to living room/kitchen with frosted glass so night tv watching is hard. Also lack of a dining table. None are major issues but they make the stay not as perfect. Watching the sunrises and view of the ocean was awesome.

1 month at Kauai Kailani

This property was clean, well stocked and the minor things that needed to be fixed were done the same day as reported. A good central location on the east side of Kauai, with excellent views of the sunrise. The chickens, although very prevalent on Kauai, were not a problem in our courtyard. We also had a view of the pool, which was cleaned daily.

Good location for exploring Kauai

Nice views. W/D not functioning. With six of us, that was rather disappointing. Looked freshly painted. Has an elevator. Well stocked with supplies.

Wedding trip

This unit is facing the ocean which I really loved. It was clean and well stocked. There were also plenty of beach chairs, umbrella and toys which I loved. The only negative was the washer/dryer was broke. Other than that I would stay here again. Great trip!

Online vs. Reality (Disappointed!)

The only thing great about this place was the location. It’s perfectly centered in the island for your travels up to north shore or down to Poipu. The things we were disappointed in was: 1) NO A/C meant windows open all night long. The sounds of the ocean were great but the sounds from the parking lot and people walking by down the corridor resulted in some very early morning wake up times, like 4am in one instance. 2) The portable fans that they provided worked but some only had one mode, even though the machine had several options. They were faulty/broken. 3). Washer/Dryer- the drum on the washer must be misaligned as it’s so loud you can hear it all the way from the parking lot. I felt bad for our neighbors downstairs that probably felt the vibration and heard the very loud noise every time we used it. The dryer door barely was able to close due to the locking mechanism being rusted out. 4) The refrigerator has some issue where it did keep the food cold but the top shelf always had water dripping down on it or water/ice build up on whatever you put on that shelf. 5) The stove burners have no indicators to which knob belongs to which burner, so it was a guessing game for awhile. We have used VRBO many times in Hawaii and California and I would NOT recommend this unit. We have friends that have stayed within this complex but in different units and they enjoyed theirs. The money we spent was not worth the quality of the stay.
