Great room but Cabo is a big disappointment
This condo is indeed in an excellent location, and it's a good size. The hotel staff provided excellent service. We loved having our room cleaned every day, which is something too many hotels have stopped doing. And the owner was easy to communicate with.
There were some annoyances with the room, most notably having the A/C turn off every time the door to the balcony or to the room was open, which was difficult to avoid since our room was connected to the adjacent room with a hallway and two doors. To move between the two rooms, you either had to have a key card on you every time (e.g., in your bathing suit or in the middle of the night) or you had to leave the door to the room open, which turns off the AC. With five people going back and forth between the rooms a lot, the suite got very hot.
But the absolute deal-killer for the vacation was not being able to enjoy the beach, which is the whole point of paying a high price for this location. The vendors on the beach harass you relentlessly, literally every 20-30 seconds. You can't relax for even a moment without someone coming up to sell you something. The vendors even harassed my daughter while she was trying to make a sand castle, even though she clearly didn't have any money (she was in a bathing suit) and she looks like she's 11 years old.
Plus there were soldiers with machine guns patrolling the beach, which is very intimidating. Plus two of us got very sick after eating very expensive meals in the hotel. Bummer.
