Our property is situated directly on a wide expanse of the beautiful Currumbin River looking across to a nature reserve. We offer a freshly renovated, private & fully self-contained apartment/suite that comprises the offset lower level of our home with the shared use of a swimming pool, sandy beach, jetty & the river. Paddle just 2 klm to the famous Currumbin Alley, catch a crab and fish from the jetty or just relax with a drink & enjoy the river and native bird life.

Lovely property

We did enjoy our stay at this wonderful property. Being located on the river was great for paddleboarding. Hosts were very friendly and helpful.

Return visit to Currumbin

Delightful private lodging, particularly for 2 people. Overlooking river and jetty, with pool and owners at arms’ length to say ‘hello’ only and help with any queries. Easy walk to beach, river, shops and breakfast/lunch spots , still beautiful area. Most enjoyable and nicely presented with good communication and ease of access.

Perfect for a long weekend

Liz and Bretts place is absolutely delightful. We had a wedding to attend in Surfers Paradise and didn't want to stay in the hub. This property was not too far away from the wedding venue, yet a beautiful peaceful enviroment to relax in, pre and post the event. You couldn't ask for anymore from a short stay property, king size bed with luxurious linen. A comfortable couch with large screen TV if you want that wind down in the evening, perfectly appointed bathroom and adequate kitchen if you are so inclined to stay home to eat. Step out of the glass sliding doors straight onto a patio and take in the vista of the Currumbin river. Excellent size pool to swim in and very comfortable lounges for soaking up the sun. Liz and Brett were very hospitable and great people to chat to whilst leaving us to our privacy as well. Highly recommend their property for a short stay, perhaps would suggest having a car as to make it easier to get around.

Having grown up and lived in the USA, Malaysia, and Thailand and having travelled extensively world wide it is a joy to meet new faces of all nationalities and pass on some of our Aussie piece of paradise.

We settled on this property specifically due to its location and the fact that it is on spectacular river frontage.

What makes this property unique

To be able to walk out the back door and choose between a swim in the pool or a plunge into the river is pure pleasure. If you love to be on the river - you can fish, bird watch, paddle a surf ski/kayak, or stand-up paddle board all from our back yard. (BYO equipment or hiring facilities are just a short 10 min walk upriver). If you enjoy walking, the beach is only a flat 20 min walk with shopping, clubs and pubs all within easy walking distance.
