Excelente ubicacion en Denia

Apartamento muy bien equipado con excelente ubicacion y salida directa a la piscina comunitaria. Magnifica terraza muy apropiada para los desayunos. Plaza de garaje incluida al lado del apartamento. El propietario con muy buena disposicion tanto para el check in como para cualquier pequeña incidencia que surgiera.

Relaxing Stay, with everything within walking distance – we will be back!

Just returned from a relaxing stay at this well positioned apartment. We were in Spain for 6 weeks and stayed in this apartment for 5 weeks and found the apartment first class. It has an excellent location, close to Marina and 10 mins walk into the town and port. There is also a very handy supermarket just outside the apartment block, so no need for a car! The apartment is very well appointed, excellent kitchen with good quality appliances, 2 modern stylish shower rooms and comfortable bed in the master bedroom, plus excellent Wi-Fi. The grounds are well tendered, with a lovely swimming pool. We loved the apartment and would like to return, the only downside for us was there’s no sun on the main terrace (probably a good thing in high season) we did use the small back terrace which has sun for a few hours a day, which has a lovely view of the mountain, which was a bonus we weren’t expecting. If you are looking for a modern apartment with everything in walking distance, then this would be a perfect choice, we loved it and would like to return. Excellent communication from the host and apartment manager Seigfried – nothing seemed to be a bother, and any requests were delt with promptly.

Alles super!

Die Wohnung entsprach genau den Fotos im Inserat. Der Kontakt zum Verwalter, Herrn Ritz, war hervorragend. Durch die Annullierung unseres Fluges durch Eurowings (schönen Dank dafür😩) reisten wir mit dem Auto an. Unsere Ankunft war spät, gegen 23 Uhr. Dennoch war dies kein Problem. Es wurde auf uns gewartet und wir erhielten noch wertvolle Tips. Einkaufen fussläufig in der Anlage, Apotheke vorhanden. Ggfs. Kann man mit dem PKW 700 Meter zum Consum oder Lidl fahren. Strand Las Marinas Auto nötig. Innenstadt und Yachthafen fussläufig erreichbar. Lieber Siegfried, vielen Dank nochmals!!! Viele Grüße aus Odenthal von Jörg, Iris, Philip und Felix

Paid more than agreed; got less than offered.

Initial impression: Positive. Nice apartment and complex. Seemed to have everything. Good location. Friendly welcome. Subsequently: Less positive. Only one of 4 rooms had curtains. Used dark towels to block light & provide privacy. Pillows inadequate; had to borrow from spare room & use settee cushions. Complained. Given more pillows. No satellite/cable television as promised in apartment description. Complained. Owner contacted a television engineer. We stayed in on two mornings for the engineer who couldn’t resolve the issue. Despite complaining again, we never had access to satellite/cable for the entire 3 weeks. Plagued by mosquitos. Every morning we had more bites. Worst we’ve experienced in Spain. One bed had a mattress that seemed very damp and was unpleasant to sleep on. Neighbours weren’t noisy but could be heard. In high season this might be a concern. VRBO unable to process payments. No one realised until 5 days after we arrived & we received an email saying payment overdue. Emails from VRBO before we left suggested all okay. Tried to pay using link in email, VRBO website & VRBO app. Nothing worked. Contacted our bank – no problem with our account. Called VRBO to pay over the phone. Didn’t work. Made over 12 long calls to VRBO. Regularly cut off. Call back meant explaining situation to a different agent. Issue was double escalated within VRBO but no use. Tried 4 different cards (debit & credit) from different banks. Nothing worked. Hours of calls ruined more days of our holiday. Received messages from owner demanding immediate cash payment. VRBO said not to pay owner directly – we weren’t keen either as no certainty it would be safe or end the matter. Eventually, stress was too much. We wanted to be left in peace to salvage what was left of our holiday & settled in cash. Note, before we left UK, my wife, who hadn’t fully recovered from Covid, was diagnosed with hypertension. This wasn’t helping! We had to get 800 Euros from a bank in the centre of town & take it back to the apartment. Owner wanted 718 Euros, 20 Euros over the price agreed with VRBO (in Sterling) but we wanted the matter closed. There for 3 weeks; issues ruined a week. Some issues easily remedied & we could then recommend the apartment, but dealing with VRBO... 2 weeks after returning, VRBO system still shows the payment overdue. Spent a lot on trip & need a holiday after it. Rating would be a bit higher if considering apartment in isolation from overall experience.
