The villa is in a very quiet place a lot of retired people live year-round in the village Mas Bosca
Very large fishing port with sale of fresh fish to individuals
It thus tends to become a destination "4 seasons" and asserts itself as the unmissable and natural crossroads of the north of the Costa Brava also allowing to go on excursion to remarkable sites of the region of the Emporda as the monastery of San Father of Rodes, Cadaques or the Medes Islands.
While Rosas has built a solid reputation for a family and international clientele, it also aims to develop a high-end tourism through a rich and diversified hotel offering and its modern sports and natural infrastructures and resolutely turned towards excellence that it dictates
its naturally privileged setting. Nestled between the sea and the hills of the Serra de Rodes, which rise to more than 600 meters above sea level and attenuate the strength of the famous tramuntana (tramontana), Rosas has gradually become a must-see destination in the north of the Costa Brava.
The Bay of Roses in the strict sense extends from Cape Norfeu, south of Cadaques and the peninsula of Cap de Creus to Cala Montgo, south of L'Escala which delimits the Alt Emporda Baix Emporda.
In our approach considering Rosas and its bay as the epicenter of a major eco-tourist region,
the "Costa Rosas", non-institutional or official name, extends from the French border in Port-Bou to Cape Begur with Llanca, Cadaques, L'Escala and L'Estartit (Medes Islands) as other major centers of Coastal allistic interest of this area. Two tour cruises ensure from Rosas crossings between half and one day to Cadaques or the Medes Islands.
Its origins date back to the 8th century BC. J.-C. with the arrival of the Rhodians and the foundation of the Greek city of Rhodes. These historical facts have become the signs of identity of a modern, culturally active and generous city, the result of cohabitation with other peoples and civilizations, of which we feel very proud and satisfied.
We invite you to sail in a city full of charms and new sensations to discover, as did the first colonizers more than 3,000 years ago, where to appreciate nature, culture and traditions is a privilege within the reach of all.
If we can get Roses to seduce you with its sunsets, by the affable and hospitable nature of its people, by its historical heritage, by its tourist, sports and gastronomic offer, by the professionalism of the services offered and by its infinite possibilities of leisure and entertainment, we will have achieved our goal.
The coast of Roses has a total of 19 beaches,
some with more than 184. 000 square meters of sand.
These beaches stretch from Santa Margarita to Cala Joncols, passing by Almadraba
(our photo) located between the Caps of Norfeu and Creus.
The beaches of Canyelles Petites and Almadraba (our favorite ...) but also the coves (Cala) of Montjoi, Pelosa and Joncols are real jewels of the Mediterranean, protected within the Natural Park of Cap de Creus: a a real paradise that lends itself, for amateurs, to sumptuous hikes!
The urbanization of Santa Margarita has more than 18 kilometers of navigable canals. Roses also offers its visitors the opportunity to enjoy the nature of the small coves, where you will not hear much except the murmur of the sea and the cries of the seagulls.
At the same time you can visit the Mallol house, the fishermen's monument, the monument to the Gulf of Roses, the monument to the tourist, the port, the promenade, the lighthouse and the beautiful view from Puig Rom. On the gastronomic level, do not miss the typical dish, a kind of local bouillabaisse: the Suquet de Roses which is proposed in a number of restaurants having signed a charter of quality guaranteeing the use of products from the local fishing.
