About this property

Forming part of Achnadrish House, a 17th Century former shooting lodge on the the Isle of Mull on Scotland's fabulous West Coast, the Cabin offers a suberb location and comfortable self catering accommodation for 2 guests in an open plan bedroom/sitting room with a well equipped kitchen and a bathroom with a shower over the bath.
Perfect for exploring the many stunning beaches and getting away from it all in this area of pristine wilderness, yet only 5 miles from the wonderful eateries and shops of the iconic pretty town of Tobermory. The Cabin is situated on the Eastern side of the main house and was built as an extension to the main house to house the owner's collection of mechanical toys for the local children to play with. The main house is in the centre and on the Western side there is another 3 bedroom self catering unit known as the Wing.
Heated by a wood chip boiler using local wood chips, the Cabin is very comfortable and warm with 24 hour hot water and heating.
The Cabin has its own private entrance, a small outside seating area with far reaching views of the wilds of North Mull, and there are some wonderful tracks for walking nearby, with one direct from the house leading out to the wilds of North Mull.
The area is rural and wild, owls, eagles and other birds of prey and red deer are frequently sighted here. The nearest shop and pub is 2 miles away in the pretty village of Dervaig. The famous Calgary beach is a 20 minute drive.
Achnadrish is on a bus route but we recommend you have a car. We have good WIFI here.
Achnadrish is also a family home, dogs, cats and sheep also live here.

Mull is a wonderful place for a holiday, it is wild and untouched with magnificent scenery and views with lots of opportunities for wild life watching, walking and hill climbing (we even have a Munro to bag). There a wild life trips and tours on land and sea and white sandy beaches with crystal clear blue seas to explore. Mull is also recognised for the many delicious and award winning restaurants and also as a producer of many fine foods for which there is a food trail to show you around the different producers.

Een heerlijk verblijf

We hebben genoten van deze prachtige plek op Mull. Een schitterende natuur. Uitvalsbasis via een schitterende singleroad naar de eilanden Ulva - Iona en Staffa. Alles was prima voor elkaar in ons verblijf bij Achnadrisshuis. Kortom een uitstekende accomodatie voor verblijf op Mull.

Good value cabin on beautiful Mull

Had an excellent week at this cabin. It’s reasonably priced and well kitted out. Hosts were friendly and helpful. Cabin was clean and tidy and reasonably comfortable. Bathroom needs uplift and a better placed and sized tv and sofa would make evening relaxation a little better. All in all a good stay in a pleasant cabin

Very remote but lovely and quiet Lovely inside but externally could do with a spruce up especially at the rear of the property were the outside seating area was Phone signal pretty much non existant and wifi network was so intermittent it was unusable
