About the host

We established Manor Lodge in 2008 at the same time as taking on pubs to manage. We dont manage pub anymore but now own the little pub, Bar Tusker, three minutes from here. My background is in Horticulture and floristry and these are also my hobbies. I am originally from New Zealand and the Kiwis are renowned to be sociable.

Why they chose this property

This property is 12th Century, so for history buffs, you have come to the right place. Charles 1 stayed here when he was hiding from the Roundheads. The house is separated; with Manor Lodge as the guesthouse and our private house next door. It was also the creamery and it housed chickens in days gone by; the shed outside was the milking parlour. Here was a working farm on the Mount Edgcumbe Estate. Fully refurbished and with ensuites in all three bedrooms for your own privacy. Fully equiped kitchen and lounge/dining room with smart tv. Free Wifi and superfast broadband with 4g back up. There is off the road free parking. Millbrook village is five minutes walk. Surrounded by beaches, Whitsand Bay, Kingsand/Cawsand. Looe is 20 minutes by car. Its easy to get from here to all around Cornwall, with Lands End around 90 minutes drive. Just three miles down the road is the passenger ferry at Cremyll which will take you to Plymouth City or the historic Barbican.

What makes this property unique

Off the road parking. Free superfast broadband with 4g back up. All towels/linen provided. Pets welcome by arrangement. Close to Kingsand/Cawsand without the hefty price priveledge of being by the sea.
