Two Months of Fun
The spacious and private tree top apartment. On 4th floor so if you have hip and knee issues this is not for you. Walked to enjoyable restaurants and taverns in the neighborhood. Pleasant stroll to Jarvis El or Howard el if park and ride. Ross is on premise and very responsive. We'd come here again though on a lower floor.

Spacious and bright, great for families
I stayed here with my family including two small children for 6 weeks while I worked downtown. It’s about a 15 minute walk to two different trains to get downtown. Every room is large, and the open living space with all the windows is beautiful. It’s a third floor walkup, but the property manager allowed us to park our stroller in the foyer, which was super convenient. When we arrived, the Halloween decor was a hit with my kids - a nice touch. By the end of our stay Ross (property manager, who lives on the premises) had just put up Christmas decorations - very sweet. Quick response rate from both Ross and William when we had minor issues. Would recommend this place especially to families!

Verbally Attacked by maintenance man
The stay was OK but there was an incident where the toilet over flooded while I was in the kitchen cooking in the toilet in the master bedroom which is on the opposite end of the apartment. The building is old you’ll notice that the roof the wall the paint is peeling them and complain about that but when I had the maintenance person pound on my door and point in my face and said that we did this it was a mechanical failure on the toilet. Who in their right mind is going to allow their personal belongings to get flooded with toilet water on purpose. It’s absolutely ridiculous and disgusting and I didn’t appreciate being blamed for it.

Horrible experience
Upon walking into the building, it smelled like cat pee and was very messy. They was a mountain of children toys by the front door that were dirty and smelly, which was alarming to me since we are still in a pandemic. Upon walking into the unit, the cat pee smell got stronger. I asked Ross, who was apart of the property maintenance team along with Glen, if the other guest had just left and he said that no one has has been in the place for days; and that’s exactly what it looked and smelled like. He continues to say that he’s been “ doing this” for over 11 years which was completely irrelevant and not a solution to the evident smell, since I walked into several windows opened to try to get rid of it . His attitude then went from being welcoming to defensive and disrespectful. I asked Ross if he could do something about the smell and he states that he has to contact the property owner first. He then returns with a bottle of febrezze Tide scent, slams it on the container and says, “This is all I can do for you”. I begin to reach out to the property owner, William, flabbergasted at the type of treatment I was receiving. He cuts me off during the conversation and tells me to RELAX! Also, tells me that I might be smelling gas from the furnace, and yet still provided to real solution to that alarming assumption. After a lot of back and forth, he instructed Ross to clean again; I assumed since everytime Ross got a call, he would leave the condo. While Ross started preparing to clean, his temper gets worst. He starts mumbling horrible mean things and curse words under his breath and slams old and empty cleaning supplies that were in horrible shape from an old bucket with dust on it (not because of him cleaning so much by the way; as he stated, NO ONE HAS BEEN IN THERE FOR DAYS). At that point I and my guest felt very uncomfortable and afraid. William then reaches out to me and orders me to leave the condo after Ross disrespected me and my guest while Ross cleans again. I told him we had nowhere to go to wait and also that we no longer felt comfortable staying there after Ross had his temper tantrum in front of us and continuously did by the way. He stated he would cancel and yet never did; he kept the reservation open and is now refusing to refund me for a stay I never accepted or checked into There was no sky view, only 3 beds, the furniture was stained with hair on it and the windows were filthy. I had to find another place for me and my guest.

One of our other passions is music. I was involved with the Guardsmen Drum and Bugle Corps for 26 years, as a marching member for 10 years and 16 as a choreographer and director. My whole family was involved in one way or another. My sister Celeste and Paul were members while sisters Claudia and Regina, followed and helped with management. My father was very active as director and my mother sewed flags and followed us every where.

My son has followed in music and was a member of the Green Thunder Percussion Ensemble and has been taking piano lessons for 15 years.

I am currently president of Ray's Hvac, a heating and air conditioning company that my father Ray started in 1956. My mother and brother Paul work for the company as well.

My son and I have 3 dogs: Minnie Pearl, a Jack Russell/Pomeranian, Magnolia, a Fox Terrier, and Mr. Conrad, a Border Collie. Both Minnie Pearl and Mr. Conrad were rescued from visits to Ireland.

We are involved along with my sister Claudia with Young at Hearts, a senior pet rescue and adoption organization. My son also volunteers at the Animal Care League of Oak Park.

My son and I are parishioners at St. John the Baptist in Winfield, and I am also a member of the Human Rights Campaign.

William Harty, owner

Being from Chicago, I always had a vision of owning a grand 4 flat in Rogers Park, Residence on the Avenue. The architecture was very different from other areas in the city.

As a young man, and even now, I love the drive north from the city up Lake Shore Drive and continuing on to the historic Sheridan Road.

The building was purchased in 2003, and in 2006 we did a major rehab. After doing full time rentals, we decided to do vacation rentals in two of the condos. We felt some thing this great should be shared.

What makes this property unique

This condo because it is on the top floor is amazing on a sunny day. The grand open floor plan is great for gatherings. Even if you are working away in this great kitchen you can enjoy the rest of you family or friends at the granite breakfast bar. The master bath is also a great feature of this condo with the whirlpool and separate shower.
