Wonderful holidays in a wonderful house

My family (wife, 2 children and I) spent two wonderful weeks in the beautiful cottage of Gabriella. From the very first moment, we had fallen in love with the big old house right next to the clock tower (the bell was always silent...). A washing machine is available in the basement. On the first floor, there is a living room with a large dining table, a sofa bed and a practically equipped kitchen with a gas stove. On the second floor, there are two bedrooms (each with a double bed) and a bathroom with shower. A highlight is the small terrace where we had dinner together. We all had plenty of space, and we found the lovely décor very cozy. Within a radius of only 50m, there is a small shop (where you can buy bread in the morning), a good butcher's shop, a pizzeria and - almost right on the doorstep - a restaurant with Tuscan specialties. Marciano della Chiana is a little jewel in the south-east of Tuscany, still undiscovered by tourist crowds. The place has a rich history, a magnificent location, and great tourist attractions are not far away. Among other things, we visited: - Lucigniano - Monte San Savino - Castiglione Fiorentino - Cortona - Arezzo - Lake Trasimeno - Montepulciano - Pienza - Montalcino - Siena - Florence as well as the Ligurian and Adriatic Sea (each about 2 hours away). We can highliy recommend the house of Gabriella if you want to get to know „real“ Tuscany. It's very comfy. We had a great time and would love to come back!

Ottima posizione

Il signor Nicola è stato molto gentile e disponibile. La casa si trova nel centro storico di Marciano della Chiana, proprio all’ingresso. Per chi si accontenta di una casa semplice e senza molte pretese, è l’ideale. L’unica pecca è che i telefoni non prendono ma chiaramente non dipende dai proprietari. Raccomandata per chi ha bisogno di un punto di appoggio per visitare Toscana e Umbria.

Vacanze scandite dalle campane

Abbiamo trascorso una bella settimana. E' il luogo ideale per visitare Arezzo, Siena, Firenze e anche la parte alta dell'Umbria (Gubbio, Città di Castello). La casa rispecchia la descrizione. La Sig.ra Meacci è gentile. Grazie per l'ospitalità. Ps. Il campanile accanto all'alloggio suona l'ora insieme ad altri due campanili, il primo giorno è un pò strano, ma ci si abitua subito!!!

Vacanza speciale in Toscana, agosto 2016

Authentic experience at Marciano della Chiana

We had a very nice stay at the holiday house in Marciano della Ciana. The village is centrally located many sights can be visited within a reasonable distance. The location of the house and the house itself is an attraction. (and all in all great value for money) Communication was impeccable and the reception very friendly. Ciao et Grazie. Willem
