Relaxing Stay
We would highly recommend this property for two key reasons: 1) Karin and her team were easy to communicate with, reasonable, and warm...you can tell customer service is taken seriously with this team...2) the property is well-situated on the lake with a variety of watercraft provided and four blocks from a major shopping center where you can grab all key amenities. That meant that we could have fun in the sun on the lake during the day, and grab groceries, do some fun shopping, or eat out in the evening.
The home is well stocked with all necessities and then some. I don't think you're going to lack for any kitchen or other household items. The rooms are all neat and clean, and as described. We loved and enjoyed the BBQ on the deck.
This was also a good home for our dogs b/c they had space to swim, run, walk and dry off (on the balcony). We brought two dogs, one 15-pound and one 50-pound. House rules meant they did not get on the furniture or sleep in the beds (which was fine).
Some notes here that didn't bother us but may be good for others to be aware of...
a) Wifi is very weak. This didn't matter to us since the focus was DISconnecting but if you're planning to work, this may be an issue.
b) The basement is spacious but there is only one room that is separated from the rest of the spaces in the basement, including the other two beds. The two beds in the shared larger space do have a curtain that separates them from the seating area in the basement.
c) The basement rooms are the only sleeping areas that have "blackout" coverage so if you're light-sensitive, it's darker downstairs.
d) If you have young children, elderly dogs, etc, you may want to bring a baby gate as the stairs to the basement are right by the front door and are steep.
We are already talking about staying here again next year so we would recommend this to families. It's a lovely property and a relaxing stay.
