About this property

A cosy, bright and spacious flat, on the top floor of a traditional urban Syros House, just 15mins on foot from both the city center & Vaporia neighbourhood.

Lots of hard work and love was placed here by the owner, who constructed almost everything - from wall insulation (Knauf thermo-cell) to kitchen cabinet construction and plastering!

Great view of the neighbourhood, part of the Ermoupolis port, the Anastasis Hill and the majestic Cypress in the small garden that belongs to the House.
Access to the house on foot from the city center involves broad steps. If you do not wish to climb steps you can access the house by car, taxi or the free local minibus via Socratous Str.

Continuous WiFi provision is subject to electricity power cuts in the whole island during high summer season. Two WiFi routers (one with a strong signal throughout the house & another with a limited signal to the balcony) are available in case of potential service disruptions.

You are welcome to use the whole apartment & balcony except from the terrace. Long term guests should keep in mind that the owner may wish to access the terrace for maintenace work etc.

Exceptionally equipped property and well positioned for exploring Ermoupolis

Lydia welcomed us to her property and is the most charming, informative and generous hostess. Her attention to detail and assistance in informing us of places to visit was invaluable to our stay. Her knowledge of the island is extensive, places to visit, best restaurants, best beaches etc made our stay far more enjoyable. We cannot thank Lydia enough for the time and effort she and her friend Kiki gave us and will always be grateful for making our stay in Syros special.

It is ideal for couples of all ages or a family of three with a young child (c.5-6 years old), who are looking for a 'feel at home' vacation atmosphere, enjoy cooking & would like to stay near the city life yet close to the sea.
The apartment is part of a three floor traditional urban Syros house with a well, water cystern and a small garden with a cypress tree.

What makes this property unique

The apartment is situated in a quiet residential pedestrianised neighbourhood of Ermoupolis 15 mins on foot from the city center, market and port and the two sea platforms of Asteria & St.Nicholas where you can swim.

It can be accessed both on foot, by car or the local free of charge minibus.

Local mini markets for the basic necessities upon arrival are at a hands distance, while large supermarkets can deliver at home upon request.

Apollo Theater, the open air cinema, more than a handful of historic neoclassical houses, the historic archive, the municipality & archaeological museum together with a selection of dine & wine is just 10-15mins away.

Comfortable even during the winter for those that seek a calmer island holiday.
