Wonderful location with view of the castle

Very well insulated house with all mod cons , a stone's throw away from the castle of Pierrefonds. The woodburner was a delight. Well equiped kitchen and comfortable beds.

What a Gem!

Perfectly located on the edge of Pierrefonds, which is a perfect French village. This place is small but mighty! Three adults were a snug but doable fit. It's very well designed and the hosts are such nice people.

A Beautiful Hidden Getaway

This is a fantastic property, hidden away in the forest right by the château and less than 10 minutes walk from all the facilities in Pierrefonds. The property is ideal to relax in and has everything you need to have an enjoyable stay. Our host made us very welcome and we look forward to returning again soon.

The Gate house

A fantastic property within easy walking distance to the town. The location is very quiet. All that you need in there and little touches like fresh milk, butter and champagne in the fridge were very welcome after a long drive. I would highly recommend this plac Thanks Steve Ellis

Fabulous 2nd stay in Pierrefonds

We love staying in this perfect for 2 people gatehouse on a lovely estate. It is a short walk into Pierrefonds but is in the countryside and is very quiet. The on-site owner has provided everything you need. The place is spotless! Pierrefonds is a gem with artisanal bakeries, charcuterie and is less than an hour from CDG. We’re coming back at the end of this trip!

Perfect!

A slice of heaven! Florence's cottage was the perfect place to begin our visit to France. Less than an hour's drive from CDG, but a world away! Peaceful, perfectly appointed, and magically situated near base the castle. Florence was incredibly gracious, kind and responsive. I will never forgot the view of the hydrangeas she'd placed on the ledge outside the living room window. I can't wait to go back!

Great place to stay an hour from CDG

We planned to stay here for 2 nights before flying home. We easily could have stayed longer. The cottage is perfectly equipped, immaculate, and lovely, too. The owner Florence lives in the bigger house on the large estate and is very helpful and friendly. Pierrefonds is a really neat town with the famous castle in view from the house. It is very quiet, too. Highly recommend.

Pierrefonds accommodation

This is a lovely little house in the beautiful village of Pierrefonds. The village has everything you need - a range of restaurants, good independent boulangeries/boucheries and a little supermarket - as well as the magnificent chateau (which would be well worth a trip even if they tripled the entry price). We rented bikes to go on the cycle paths through the Foret de Compiegne - recommended. Florence and Herve were perfect hosts - a nice welcome when we arrived, restaurant recommendations and happy to help sorting out things on the phone like bike rental. We were there for a month, which meant welcoming family visitors from the UK over weekends. The location worked really well as it is only 2.5 hours drive from Calais for people taking the Eurotunnel, and only 45 minutes drive from Charles de Gaulle airport. The size of the property was perfect for just the two of us, and still OK but a bit cramped when visitors came. Florence was so helpful in making sure all our guests had clean sheets, etc., ready for arrival. The house was kept spotlessly clean throughout. We would definitely stay again next time we visit the Compiegne area.

Le lieu est incroyable ! L accueil est chaleureux. Le logement est moderne, propre et magnigique. Les chambres sont spacieuses et confortables. La décoration est superbe et de tres bon goût. Un long week-end des plus agréables

Nous avons pu profiter de notre séjour dans cette très jolie petite maison située dans une belle propriété et un écrin de verdure. Nous remercions encore Florence et son mari pour leur accueil et toutes les petites attentions qui nous ont facilité la vie et ont rendu notre séjour encore plus agréable (décoration sur la terrasse, condiments, café, chocolat, ..., flexibilité dans les horaires d'arrivée et de départ - la maison n'étant pas louée sur ces périodes).La maison est très bien équipée.Les activités dans la région ne manquent pas : châteaux à visiter, balades en forêt, monuments et musées sur la guerre; ...

Nous avons passé 3 jours dans cette confortable petite maison située aux pieds du château de Pierrefonds. Florence est une hôte très accueillante et soucieuse de ses hôtes. Dans ce cadre boisé, nous avons pu dévouvrir en famille la région tout en profitant des commerces de proximité. Je conseille fortement cette location.

Fijn verblijf.

Het is leuk, klein maar zeer netjes onderhouden en gezellig huisje. Alles is uitgebreid aanwezig. Er was koffie, thee, water, melk, en boter aanwezig. Heel fijn als je op doorreis bent. Mooie badkamer en 2 slaapkamers. Een minpuntje is dat wij het voor 4 mensen een te kleine woonruimte vinden. Voor 2 personen is dit huisje perfect. Mooie omgeving en leuk dorp. Echt aan te raden.

Un havre de paix au milieu des oiseaux

Mignonne petite maison a l entrée de la propriété avec tout le confort nécessaire. Au milieu des oiseaux des champs et des chevaux a 5 mn à pied du centre de Pierrefonds. Un agréable village avec lac pédalo mini golf et d excellents commerçants...sans oublier le chateau. A recommander.

We waren aangenaam verrast, zelf hebben we zes dagen verbleven in het super mooie huisje. We waren daar om mee te doen aan het WK dogdance, en onze vrienden waren nagekomen met de mobilhome en kregen van de lieve eigenaars de toelating om op domein te staan. In één woord samen gevat het was super!!!
