About this property

A mountain view! Quaint and quiet!

This vacation home in the mountains is in a quiet location set back a mile dirt road from rt287. It will accomodate 3 guests. It is a clean and well maintained older single wide mobile home and a neighbor to the landlord's home. Window AC in livong room with fans in bedroom. Fully furnished: 1 bedroom with a full size bed & linens provided- eat in kitchen w/gas range, microwave, full size fridge, coffee maker, keurig, toaster- living room with day bed, recliner & dish TV- 1 small bath & towels provided- second small bedroom with a twin bed., unheated enclosed sun porch has a great view of the wildlife and mountains. There is no land line but important calls can be made from landlord's land line- wi-fi is available. Yard area is sloped and there is a small flat space for outdoor sitting. Insurance prohibits open fires. Sorry, no fire ring. Parking is on paved driveway. Since we are located at the edge of the woods, there are woodland critters nearby. We enjoy watching the deer, squirrels and birds but there are others that we like to keep at a distance like the bear and skunks. Due to the secluded a Charging stations for Electric Vehicles are not close but up to 15 miles away.

Wonderful stay!
Wish we could have stayed longer! The cottage was neat as a pin and perfect for the 2 of us. Paul and Gwen were wonderful hosts and answered all of our questions. Would love to come again!

Great Stay
We came up to go hiking in the PA Grand Canyon, this site was close to everything. Gail and Paul had good recommendations of where to go - and provided an extensive file box full of information and maps which we made great use of. The house was a great spot to come back to in the evening and relax and get cleaned up. Kitchen was small but easy to use for cooking dinner and breakfast. Sun porch was delightful to sit out in during the evening to enjoy the cool. it was nice that the two bedrooms were at opposite ends, which allowed for more privacy. Our only disappointment was that we were there during the smoke coming down from the Canadian wildfires and close to the full moon, both of which obscured what otherwise would have been beautiful stargazing. We would definitely stay again next time we are in the area.

Why they chose this property

We used this as our seasonal retreat until we decided we liked the area so much that we built a home and moved here. We liked the trailer so much we choose to share it with others.

What makes this property unique

The home is secluded. This may be a draw back if you will miss your wifi and cell service is not available to the mountains. But if you want to enjoy the scenery and wildlife this is the place. Also we are next door to answer questions and direct you the the local events and sights. And if you forgot something, we no doubt have it. We want you to relax and renew your spirit by being away from it all.
