Located on the shores of beautiful Lake Minocqua, part of the Minocqua chain of lakes, this newly remodeled, completely furnished, 3 bedroom with Loft, 1.5 bath A-frame chalet accommodates 6 adults and up to 4 children while providing all of the understated warmth and charm characteristic of the Northwoods lifestyle.

Nestled on a gentle slope and across 100 feet of shoreline, our chalet looks out upon pristine water and a completely natural landscape, with its southeast exposure providing some of the most beautiful sunrises the Northwoods has to offer while just a 5 minute walk from quaint downtown Minocqua.

A massive deck overlooking the lake with built-in deluxe gas grill, outdoor beverage refrigerator and beautiful furniture provide easy access to food and beverage whether entertaining on the deck or just hanging with friends in the large Adirondack chairs scattered around the fire pit. Outstanding cottage on the minaqua chain

This Cottage is right on Lake minaqua! It has great boat dockage, swimming area, and access to downtown minaqua for dinner and a drink. The kayak is a nice touch, and you can take it out around two islands, right in front of the property, where you’ll likely see a bald eagle getting a meal sometime during the day or early evening. The cottage itself is also very nice, with a super kitchen and family room to enjoy with friends and family. we grilled out a few nights, and found the outdoor refrigerator and grill made sitting on their deck even more enjoyable. I’d highly recommend this property, and will be staying here again! But wait, I almost forgot the outdoor fire pit, which was very nice to sit around and make some s’more’s if you have a sweet tooth.

About the host

I first fell in love with Minocqua when a college buddy invited me to spend a week with he and other college friends on Lake Minocqua back in 1978. Ten years later, my wife Diane and I purchased this particular property for our family. Our grown children spent 23 full summers with mom "at the lake" and me flying up on Thursday evening and back on Sunday night to our home in Peoria, IL.

Why they chose this property

This unique property has the best there is to offer in the island city. Unlike many homes on the Minocqua Chain, it looks out on the natural landscape of the lake without seeing any manmade structures other than lake homes. Second, the house is on city utilities unlike the vast majority of lake homes in the community. And while the rear of the home looks out on wooded property, the home is located a simple 5 minute walk to everything the town of Minocqua has to offer... parades, ski shows, shopping, restaurants and night life.

If you are a pilot/aircraft owner and are considering flying to Minocqua via private plane, we are more than happy to provide you with a courtesy car of the length of your stay as well as private hangar space for your aircraft.
