Fully Furnished/utilities Included: wifi, electric, water/trash
This Duplex in historic downtown Savannah was built in 1910 and renovated in 2006. It's homey & cozy, with simple comforts for those of us who don't need brass door knobs and chandeliers to be happy. This was a vacation short-term rental until the City shut me down. Now I can only rent it for 30 day minimum stays. There are lock boxes outside the front doors for your convenience in checking in and out. A key for your use is inside so you can keep the spare in the lock-box.
This apartment has a queen bed in the main bedroom. And trundle-twin beds in the small bedroom. I've recently pulled the trundle twin beds apart for easier access to both beds. This necessitated that the hall door come off. But the room is at the end of a side hall which provides visual privacy, just not so much sound or energetic privacy.
The living/dining and kitchen areas are combined in one large room. The kitchen is fully equipped with stove, refrigerator, microwave, cooking and eating ware. The bathroom has a shower within the claw-foot tub. PLEASE be careful upon entering and exiting the tub. If you are not very agile, this may not be the right fit for you. Place your hands on both sides of the tub to evenly distribute your weight as you get in and out.
Bed linens & towels are provided.
We're strong believers in conservation of resources, recycling, & composting. So towards that end, the AC thermostat is set to 78 degrees, which is very comfortable in Savannah's hot summers. Any cooler than that and you go into shock when you step outside! And 66 degrees in the winter. If you want it different than that, please change it to a more conservative setting when you leave for the day and when you check out.
The back yard is relatively large and fenced in. In the hot summer months expect mosquitoes, especially in lush and shady environments, like my back yard.
There is a train track nearby, but train runs only during the day (sometimes as early as 5:30a.m., but not predictably.) For a reasonably active person, it's an easy walking distance to all downtown sites of interest and businesses 1.5 Mile to river street taking the scenic route up Bull St., it's1/2 mile to Bull street. Also has handy access to public transportation Including a free D.O.T. shuttle & ferry boat system
