2 bedroom cottage perfect for romantic escapes or a place to stay for a weekend
About David Mainsbridge
I moved to Waiheke with my wife and young son back in February of 2016 after 10 years in London and it's been the best move we ever made. I grew up in Melbourne and after the fast pace of London, Waiheke has been the perfect place to raise our family of now 2 kids. We love the outdoor space, the beaches, the community and of course the beautiful food and wine on offer. After coming for a day trip on my first trip to Auckland in 2009 I was hooked and we got married here in 2013. A great place to live and a wonderful island to visit.
David Mainsbridge purchased this Cottage in 2016
Why David Mainsbridge chose Oneroa
We bought this property because we wanted somewhere that had some space after years living in London dog boxes. We also wanted somewhere that we could have a separate building to host guests from overseas and also use for the holiday market. We've enjoyed the house immensely and have met lots of interesting people by hosting them to stay in The Cottage.
What makes this Cottage unique
One of the things we love about Waiheke is the combination of being close to Auckland, amazing beaches on our doorstep but still being close to farmland. People staying in the Cottage will look over the road and see vines and fields with sheep in them. They can then walk for a few minutes and be on a stunning beach. You can then jump in the car and be at a vineyard in 7-8 minutes. There aren't many places you can do all those things so easily.

Quick Stay at Oneroa Cottage
Great accommodation for a night while we were over in Waiheke for a family celebration, would definitely book again.

This place is fantastic!!
I will be coming over more and I will only stay here. Highly recommended
Cute cottage, perfect for a weekend away, comfy, cosy and homely.
The Cottage is located on the border of Oneroa and Palm beach and is within walking distance of 6 beaches. It's just a short bus ride or 25 minute walk into Oneroa and its restaurants and bars and has easy access to the island's beautiful vineyards. A short walk down the hill will get you to the stunning Enclosure Bay and Sandy Bay, both beautiful beaches that are never crowded. The Number 2 bus stop is just 100 metres from the property, which means you can usually avoid having to use the island's often pricey cabs.
