Private cottage nestled between Searcy & Heber Springs. Property has walking paths over 17 acres, less than 4 miles to Little Red River access, 1 mile to grocery store, restaurant, gas station. House has queen bed and loft with twin bed. Jacuzzi tub, shower, and private decks North, south, and east. Very secluded - early mornings and early evenings bring wildlife out - you may see deer, fox, hawks and several other wild animals

As always, quiet bliss.

Have been a few times, and the experience keeps us returning. Just perfection in a small rural town. Quiet, serene, and peaceful. And if a big old, sad eyed golden doodle comes traipsing up, give her a good scratching! She made our trip that more pleasant, so she deserves the love!

Overall, the property was good because it was really nice and it had a bunch of stuff in there that I didn’t have to worry about purchasing. I didn’t like that there was a wasps by the door up front and when I got home at dark there would be spiders near the porch or by the car parking.

Very nice cabin.

Easy communication with the property owner. The cabin was supplied with all necessities. I only wish it had internet service also. It was very warm, welcoming, inviting, very modern, nice, and comfortable. Would highly recommend it to anyone, and would also stay again in the future!

Exceeded expectations. Great value.

The Hilltop Cottage greatly exceeded our expectations. The location is fun; as the name implies on a hilltop. The interior was immaculate and the art and decorations spurred lots of conversation (my favorite was the "peeking rooster" above the kitchen). We had nine college kids join us one evening for dinner and s'mores. With the kitchen table, sofa, and loveseat there was more than enough room to accommodate all 11 of us. I would NOT recommend the loft for anyone unsteady as the stairs are literally 45 degrees and make a sweeping turn going up. We enjoyed visits from a very friendly older dog and a tabby cat. The dog will sit, shake, and lay down for ritz crackers and the cat likes chicken! Our stay at Hilltop Cottage could not have been better and we would certainly stay again.

I have lived almost half my life in the Ozarks, the other half in the Pacific Northwest. My husband, Clarence, and I met in Seattle (he is originally from Arkansas) When we lived in WA, I worked for Boeing and Clarence was a heavy equipment operator. We moved to Arkansas in 1999 and started our first coffeeshop and evolved with that for about 10 years. Now we are "junkin'" and doing construction. Love to be outside in the garden or inside with a new craft - a "crazy quilt" is my new passion. Husband is forever refurbishing old Farmall tractors. We are both spur-of-the-moment doers and we enjoy meeting new people and sharing adventure stories. We look forward to meeting you soon!
