Amazing mountain cabin

We stayed 5 nights at Sandra's cabin. It was our central camp to the Arizona Snowbowl (only 15 minutes up the mountain), the Grand Canyon, the Petrified Forest, Sedona, Wupatki National Monument and Sunset Volcano Crater. We did it all in 6 days! We were blown away by the gorgeous view of San Francisco Mountain from the master bedroom and the main living space. There was plenty of square footage to spread out for our family of five. Instacart and DoorDash delivery was a breeze to the address from Flagstaff. Thank you Sandra for sharing your piece of heaven with us!

Spring Break Snowy Getaway

Everyone in our group (kids included) loved the chalet. Uniquely built over the years giving it warm quirky style. Wood burning furnace kept us nice and toasty as we were delighted to enjoy a foot of snow while there. Quiet neighborhood. Beautiful star gazing. Great weekend for all in our group.

Perfect vacation home for families

We enjoyed our first stay so much we had return. Great location at base of Snowbowl, convenient for ski trip. Quiet, peaceful, minutes from town. Entire home fully stocked. Detailed attention to making the chalet feel like a home away from home. Very spacious and open. Excellent communication!

EXCELLENT PERFECT LOCATION

The chalet was spacious giving plenty of privacy to all guests. Common rooms are perfect for spending time together. Everything had detailed instructions. Loved everything about the chalet and hosts responsiveness.

We are retired and have traveled the United States, Mexico and Canada in our motorhome. We love to play pickleball, hike, mountain bike, cross country ski, scuba dive and basically enjoy the outdoors.

Why they chose this property

Near Northern Arizona Museum, Northern Arizona University. Shultz Pass hiking trails, Bearizona. More hiking and biking trails in surrounding National Forest. One hour from Grand Canyon National Park.

We fell in love with the spectacular view and the accessibility to the national forest where we can bike ride, hike and cross country ski. While traveling in our RV we have rented the house full time, but are now ready to enjoy some time here during the summer. The house is so special, we love that others can enjoy it during the fall, winter and spring while we aren't there.

What makes this property unique

Snowbowl Ski Resort less than two miles away. During summer and fall, Ski Resort has chair lift rides to the top of the Peaks for spectacular views. Easy access to national forest roads for hiking, biking and cross country skiing. Close to town and an hour from Grand Canyon National Park. One hour drive to Sedona. One hour drive to Bearizona in Williams. Three hour drive to Phoenix area.

You will love the warmth of the knotty pine paneling and the spectacular view of the San Francisco Peaks. Red-tailed hawks cruise the clear blue skies and prairie dogs and elk trek across our three acres. Grand Canyon National Park is only one hour away and nearby Flagstaff abounds with cultural activities and historical landmarks.

It is country and rustic, but full of warmth with plenty of room. This home features 3 bedrooms and 2 full baths..

Master bedroom: King size bed.
Includes master bathroom, wood stove, air conditioner.

Bedroom #2 is in the A-frame: King size bed.

Bedroom #3 is the loft with queen size Aerobed. There are two flannel-lined sleeping bags that can be zipped together for double occupancy. By the way, the loft has skylights that give you a fantastic view of the stars.

There is a separate studio apartment that can be rented for additional guests at $75.00 one time charge to cover cleaning and utilities. It is off the garage area and it has a queen size bed, mini kitchenette, and private bathroom. Very similar to a hotel room. Great for an extra couple or the grandparents.

Guests are welcome to use the grill and sit on the deck with the spectacular view of the San Francisco Peaks.
